Por raro que parezca, ya que a pesar de ser un poco cliché y con algunas escenas algo empalagosas, me divertí mucho viendo este filme, y siendo sincero no sé si fue más por ser una comedia romántica navideña, porque la vi en época navideña (este review llega un poco tarde, jajaja) o por una combinación de ambas cosas.
As strange as it may sound, since despite being a bit cliché and with some somewhat cloying scenes, I had a lot of fun watching this film, and being honest I don't know if it was more for being a Christmas romantic comedy, because I saw it at Christmas time ( this review is a little late, jajaja) or a combination of both.
El principal atractivo de está película radica en el elenco que la conforma, con Cameron Diaz y Kate Winslet a la cabeza, con Jude Law como el galán de la cinta y con Jack Black haciendo de él mismo, con unas escenas en las que trata de ser cómico pero termina siendo más bien espeluznante, con su típica cara de loco, siendo está selección el mayor error de la cinta.
The main attraction of this film lies in the cast that makes it up, with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet at the helm, with Jude Law as the leading man in the film and with Jack Black playing himself, with scenes in which he tries to be comical but ends up being rather creepy, with his typical crazy face, this selection being the biggest mistake of the film.

Hablando un poco más de la historia, tenemos a Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz), una americana con mucho dinero, un trabajo en publicidad y una casa gigante, ella termina una relación por una infidelidad, lo que la lleva a contactar con Iris Simpkins (Kate Winslet), una británica que trabaja en un prestigioso diario en Inglaterra, que tampoco tiene suerte en el amor, ya que "su amado" se termina comprometiendo con otra, estás llegan a un convenio y deciden cambiar de hogares por la época navideña, y así alejarse un poco de los problemas de sus vidas.

Ambas emprenden este viaje con el objetivo de alejarse de los hombres, pero como toda comedia romántica, los intereses amorosos los conocerán solo unas horas después de llegar a su destino. La primera pareja será entre Graham (Jude Low) y Amanda, siendo la mejor, en la que observamos más química y más pasión, así como también un crecimiento real en un personaje, ya que Amanda logra abrirse y conectarse con otro ser humano.
Both set out on this journey with the goal of getting away from men, but like all romantic comedy, love interests will meet them only a few hours after reaching their destination. The first couple will be between Graham (Jude Low) and Amanda, being the best, in which we observe more chemistry and more passion, as well as a real growth in a character, since Amanda manages to open up and connect with another human being.
En el lado contrario tenemos a Iris que me parece el mejor personajes, es extremadamente empalagosa y llorona, pero no sé porque me encanta, jajaja. La pareja con Miles no me cuadro desde un inicio, pues la siento muy forzada y sin ninguna cosa en común, además que Jack Black no consigue ser gracioso ni carismático, como ya lo dije antes, siento que fue el gran error del filme.
On the other hand we have Iris who seems to me the best characters, she is extremely cloying and crying, but I don't know why I love her, jajaja. The couple with Miles does not picture me from the beginning, because I feel very forced and without anything in common, besides that Jack Black does not manage to be funny or charismatic, as I said before, I feel that it was the big mistake of the film.
Otra grata sorpresa en el elenco sería el legendario Eli Wallach, que desde el primer momento que lo ves sientes empatía instantánea, por lo menos a mí me recordó a mi abuelo. En cuanto a los escenarios y la fotografía fue bien cuidada, añadiendo algo más a la película, aunque ciertas cosas como el bronceado de Jude Low no me cuadro mucho, pues vive en un pueblito a las afueras de Londres, al menos con el personaje de Iris esto si fue mejor pensado.
Another pleasant surprise in the cast would be the legendary Eli Wallach, who from the first moment you see him you feel instant empathy, at least he reminded me of my grandfather. As for the settings and the photography, it was well cared for, adding something else to the film, although certain things like Jude Low's tan doesn't really paint a lot for me, since he lives in a small town on the outskirts of London, at least with the character of Iris this was better thought.

En conclusión, es una película muy entretenida, pero que no busca un nominación a los Oscar ni mucho menos, cuenta con un guión sencillo sin grandes tramas, pero que no llega a ser aburrido, además de que como plato fuerte cuánta con grandes actores que realizan un papel lo suficientemente bueno como para recomendarsela a todos ustedes.
In conclusion, it is a very entertaining film, but it is not looking for an Oscar nomination, much less, it has a simple script without great plots, but that does not get boring, in addition to that as a main course how much with great actors who They perform a good enough role to recommend it to all of you.
