Get Out(2017)

Review by @minhajulmredol · 1949d · of Get Out

Well, the boring days can be changed by watching a movie. Movies are like a mood changer to me. So I watched this one yesterday night and thought of writing something on it.

The movie starts with the kidnapping of a black man. That's it, nothing else. Then another part begins, completely different from this. We get to see our main characters named Chris and Rose here. Chris is a black photographer and Rose is his white girlfriend. They were supposed to go to Rose's house and meet her parents. Chris was anxious about his being black and meeting them. What would be the impression towards him? But Rose assures him in the most homely way that they would not take it negatively. They are not racist.

On the way to Rose's house, she hit a deer in her car and that was dead. He reported that to the police and when the police came and were interrogating Chris like a racist, Rose defended that. Chris was pleased with that. When they reached home Rose's parents greeted them gently. Her dad is a neuroscientist and her mother is a hypnotherapist. While entering the house Chris got to see some odd impressions from black housekeeper Georgina and groundskeeper Walter.

Chris had a habit of smoking. In the night when he got out of the house, he was a little bit terrified at Walter's one activity. While returning he got into a hypnotherapy session with Rose's mother. Which was to assist him to overcome his smoking habit. He was sunk into a void called, "Sunken Place" and found out of Chris's mother's hit and run death where he thought himself guilty. In the morning he thought it was a dream.

There was a huge get-together of the rose family and rose was uncomfortable thinking about how they would take Chris beside her. However, they were prepared to face it. Everyone was quite interested in him. There was a black man too named Logan whom he was feeling like known. Chris tried to take a photograph of Logan secretly but unluckily flashlight came out and blinked in front of everyone straight to logans eye and logan's nose started to bleed unexpectedly. He came towards Chris runningly and was screaming ‘Get Out.’ Everyone stopped him and handled the situation. Rose's father said that the condition of Logan was a seizure.

A mysterious scene, when everyone was sitting in the garden and front of them rose father was talking on something and counting by his finger. Later the thing came out to be Chris’s photo and everyone was like bidding at him. At night Chris found something unpleasant and was leaving the house, and we find him tied with a chair in a basement from there the main story begins.

Spoiler Alert Have you ever thought of transplanting someone's brain to another person? Where the other person will control the body, will live in him and the owner of the body will be confined into a sunken place. This sort of thing was going on at rose's family. That was a massive twist of the movie. Trust me the twist of the characters was the best part of the film to me. Other than that was an average thriller movie to me.

So this was the movie in short. Actually, if I go to explain the story more precisely then I will end up giving more spoiler which would spoil the fun of watching. Thriller movies are best enjoyed when everything is unpredictable. So the thriller lovers can watch it. Hope they will like it.I will rate it 7 out of 10.

Brilliant movie... think this is Jordan Peele's best one so far that he has done.
