Just saw the movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island . I must say it was a good movie. IT brought back the childhood memory of many people.
Writing and Screenplay:
A boy who as lost his father now lives with his mother and step-dad. Though his step-dad is really friendly but he does not see his father into his step-father. The boy is obsessed with the idea of a mysterious island told by his grandfather. He always tries to find that island in order to meet his grandfather. He gets a coded message from his grandfather over a radio but fails to decode it. Then comes his step-father who was in NAVY and knows very well about decoding messages. Both father and son decodes the message and finds the actual location of that mysterious island. Though his mother does not want er son to go the island but step-father sees this as an opportunity of bonding with the son. Then they goes for the adventure. This is the main plot of the story. The screenplay is quite pacy and engaging. The dialogues are lighthearted and crunchy.
Acting:
- Dwayne Johnson- acted as the step-father in the movie.
- Josh Hutcherson - acted as the step-son
- Luis Guzmán - acted as the sailer who took them to the island
- Vanessa Hudgens - acted as the daughter of the sailer
- Michael Caine - acted as the grandfather of the boy
My Take:
It is a nice family movie to watch. People wil find this movie entertaining and funny and specially children will love it.
