Lo primero que vi de la serie Black Mirror fue Nosedive, primer capítulo de la tercera temporada (2016) a propósito de un ensayo para la materia Teoría de la Comunicación mientras cursaba la maestría en Comunicación Social en la UCV en el 2020. Así, sin ningún orden, continué viendo Black Mirror, serie estrenada en 2011 y que hoy ya va por la séptima temporada de la mano de su creador Charlie Brooker con 33 capítulos.
Por cierto, ésa es otra característica que me gusta, los capítulos no son contínuos, así que no importa cuál decides ver hoy, estoy segura de que te hará reflexionar.
Pero ojo, no es una serie fácil, creo que en cierto modo porque nos enfrenta con supuestos que todos sabemos que pueden llegar a ser ciertos pero que no queremos.
Por ejemplo, en Joan is Awful, primer capítulo de la sexta temporada (2023), la protagonista se queda en shock, metafóricamente, cuando ve su vida reflejada, en tiempo real, en una serie de televisión gracias a una computadora cuántica y mientras se desarrolla la trama, resulta que ella es... es complicado decir sin decir... pero aquí no solo entra en juego la privacidad de los datos que todos los días compartimos en la red, sino los derechos de autor a la hora de escribir historias con los datos de otros.
Tienen que verla...

Ahora estoy viendo la séptima temporada (2025); como cosa rara ya he visto los tres primeros de los seis capítulos que la integran, pero el primero, Common People, es mi favorito. No haré spoiler, pero debes saber lo bárbaro que resulta enfrentarse a lo que nos dicen, así clarito, cuida tu cerebro... estamos a nada de ser esclavos tecnológicos y parece que eso, aunque no sé ni nos encanta, nos amarra.
