This tense spy political thriller after 7 seasons continues to be very interesting to watch. In the past we've seen many characters drop dead, characters you would think are very important for continuity and quality of the show, well, it turns out that killing your main guy isn't as a big of a deal as it should be, as long as the new story holds and keep you invested for more.
The main plot at the start of the season it seemed to revolve around everyone wanting to dethrone president Keane from the office by using political propaganda, it turns out there are more dangerous people wanting to create chaos than we were lead to believe. No surprises there for any long term fan of the show.
Homeland's main character is a CIA operative Carrie Mathison played by Claire Danes who is still killing it with her quality acting, her troubles of keeping her bipolar disorder in check is even more pushed in our faces as she struggles to keep her sanity in the middle of new spy crisis.
That aspect of the show is a little bit overblown at times, specially when there is an immediate danger for the whole country and we need to watch her kid custody battles play out, some priorities are scrambled at times. I feel this season without those family issues would be so much better, it is a thriller where a lot of people die after all, but hey what do I know. I've been watching this show since season 1 and miraculously it continues to be interesting, last season should go out with a bang. 8.1/10
