Luke Cage is back and he is meaner than ever. Super powered Harlem Shaker however did not shake us enough to make the 2nd season as entertaining as the first one. Jessica Jones season 2 is followed by the equally mediocre 2nd season of Luke Cage, unfortunately Netflix Defenders are down for the count. Are they knocked down for good time will tell, right now we as an audience are losing them, which is a shame considering how fun the introductions were. In these superhero shows origin stories always end up more interesting than the continuation of their hero careers. Don't get me wrong, this is still a very decent and well done 2nd season and any fan of the character will probably enjoy it.
Most of the characters from season one are back including always cool Misty Knight, we will also see some unexpected cameos from Danny Rand aka the Iron Fist who somehow made the show more fun. New enemy came with the vengeance and his name is Bushmaster, he is a Jamaican mobster who wants to bring revenge to Stokes family and will stop at nothing and make a warzone out Harlem to accomplish his goals. Luke Cage is there to stop him, because of that bulletproof skin and increased strength levels turns out he is the only one who can. 2nd season is definitely bloodier than the first one, not as bloody as the Punisher, but still you will see some heads detached from their sockets, fun times. Good action, mediocre story, mediocre villain, all in all 7.5/10.
