There are different times and seasons A dear friend and fellow crypto-enthusiast was complaining about his state of mind recently. He has been getting rather irritated lately. A lot of things as well as people have been a constant source of annoyance for him in recent times. This state of mind is natural for anyone whose productivity level is being affected by factors or circumstances beyond his control. However, he insists that his emotions have nothing to do with the current state of crypto, nothing to do with the dip and that nothing else is undermining his productivity and satisfaction levels. What then can the issue be? He chose to share his dilemma here on Steemit and got some pretty interesting answers. I am of the opinion that the constant irritation with things and people is as a result of a deep seated unconscious need for change. There are different times and seasons in our lives and often times, we switch seasons effortlessly. However, the older and wiser we get, the more responsibilities we have, the more complex it becomes to cross into a new season, a new beginning.
Time to move on I am of the opinion that his constant upset and irritation is an indicator of a need for a change of lane. In life, change is inevitable. However the natural human tendency is to resist change. We try as much as possible to maintain status quo especially when we believe we are in the perfect comfort zone. It's like a young newly wedded man or woman, trying as hard as possible to maintain the exact same lifestyle as when he or she was single. It wouldn't work! And if it does work, it would most likely be an anomaly, causing unnecessary offense in the new marriage. Entering a new phase in life requires both acquisition of new knowledge, new friends, new circles of influence and so on. It also requires surrendering or letting go of some of the same! Some things would need to be unlearned, some ties would need to be severed else they become unnecessary baggage on our new journey. Lighten your weights by letting some things and some people go and acquire replacements suitable for the next level. All these must be done with foresight and wisdom so as not to burn bridges that one might still need later in future. May the good Lord grant us all wisdom to do the right things at the right times and not make a mess of our critical life decisions.
