Hey movie marauders! Mad Max: Fury Road was released in 2015, and is the 4th installment in the Mad Max franchise. A follow up movie to Mad Max: Fury Road has been confirmed. It is called Mad Max: The Wasteland, and the only known casting is Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky. Everyone loves these movies, and Tom Hardy signed onto 3 more Mad Max films that will take place after Mad Max: Fury Road. Let's take a look at some fun facts about Mad Max: Fury Road:
1. 150 vehicles were made for Mad Max: Fury Road, and more than 75 of them were destroyed (blown up, torn in half, and in shreds).
2. Charlize Theron (who plays Furiosa) accidentally broke Tom Hardy's nose when she elbowed him (she had to wear a green cast to remove her arm in post production).
3. Editor Margaret Sixel took 3 months to watch the film to edit it (470 hours of footage).
4. More than 80% of the effects in the film are practical, stunts, sets, and make-up.
5. Max Rocantansky (played by Tom Hardy) has 52 lines in the film (not including grunts, including voice-overs).
6. Scenes that took place at night were filmed in broad daylight, color-manipulated, and overexposed on purpose. Sometimes the sky was replaced in post production to look more interesting.
7. Director George Miller and Charlize Theron (who plays Furiosa) found Tom Hardy difficult to work with, and did not get along with him during filming.
8. Both a PG-13 and R-rated version of the movie were made. Warner Bros. decided to go with the R-rated version after test screenings of the movie.
9. The paracord bracelet that Max Rocantansky wears is actually Tom Hardy's bracelet.
10. Mad Max: Fury Road is the first film in the Mad Max franchise to credit Max by his full name, Max Rocantansky.
