There is a streaming network that may not yet be part of the mainstream regarding this type of platforms, but that has given us some very interesting titles that I plan to share with you. I have the pleasure of having Apple TV thanks to a friend I have in Spain, he shares his user since he uses it very little and of course I have taken advantage of it to watch series and movies that for some reason I feel that I am not very famous or at least do not make much noise on the internet.
Extrapolations is a science fiction series set in a not so distant future in which the earth is climatically compromised thanks to the effects of global warming. It shows us how the life of human beings changes radically, in fact, it is nothing like what we know today and in fact is becoming increasingly complicated as the years go by. I want to emphasize that in this sense they managed to exemplify very well what we could hypothetically live in the coming years, although I really hope that this does not happen and that our children do not have to suffer such conditions.

Hay una cadena de streaming que quizá aún no forma parte del mainstream respecto a este tipo de plataformas, pero que nos ha regalado algunos títulos muy interesantes que tengo pensado compartir con ustedes. Tengo el gusto de contar con Apple TV gracias a un amigo que tengo en España, el me comparte su usuario ya que lo usa muy poco y yo por supuesto he aprovechado para ver series y películas que por algún motivo siento que nos soy muy famosas o que por lo menos no hacen mucho ruido en internet.
Extrapolations es una serie de ciencia ficción ambientada en un futuro no tan lejano en el que la tierra está comprometida climáticamente gracias a los efectos del calentamiento global. Allí se nos muestra como la vida de los seres humanos cambia de manera radical, de hecho, no es nada parecida a lo que conocemos actualmente y de hecho se va haciendo cada vez más complicada con el pasar de los años. Quiero destacar que en ese sentido lograron ejemplificar muy bien lo que hipotéticamente podríamos vivir en los próximos años, aunque la verdad espero que esto no suceda y que nuestros hijos no tengan que padecer tales condiciones.

Como consecuencia del calentamiento global, los polos se van derritiendo cada vez con más velocidad ocasionando inundaciones en todas partes del mundo, por lo que la movilización de masas se torna cada vez más compleja tomando en cuenta aspectos logísticos y lo limitado de los recursos. La población también se ve afectada por el fuerte calor que en cierto punto es dañino directamente para la piel, por lo que la libertad de estar en exteriores se torna bastante limitada. Lo anterior mencionado afectó también a especies animales que se fueron extinguiendo progresivamente con el pasar de los años.
Pero esta serie va más allá de ser el típico mundo pos apocalíptico en el que la especie humana lucha para sobrevivir, aquí se nos muestran posturas de políticos y empresarios inescrupulosos que más allá de dirigir sus decisiones a salvaguardar lo poco que queda por rescatar del planeta, buscan aprovecharse engañando y creando mecanismos que lo que hacen es enriquecerlos más y más, trayendo como consecuencia la aceleración del deterioro mundial anteponiendo sus intereses más allá de la protección de la especie humana.
Extrapolations gives us a very interesting look at what could be our future if we do not react in time to the effects of pollution that we produce every day in the world. It is clear that the economic interests of the powers and large conglomerates that care little about the damage to the planet earth have always stood in the way, but there are things that have limits, which must be addressed at the right time and before it is too late.
This series has a casting that is not negligible, we can see actors and big stars like Kit Harrington, David Schwimmer, Edward Norton and Meryl Streep, to name a few. I feel that each one fit very well with their character taking into account the complexity of the circumstances in which they are involved, I think it is very interesting to see how an actor conveys the emotions when making an important decision or receiving information that is potentially catastrophic, and of course series of this genre have a lot of that.
I highly recommend this series, I think it makes us open our eyes in many aspects that for now seem unimportant, but therein lies its value. My score for Extrapolations is 7/10.

Es así que Extrapolations nos da una mirada muy interesante a lo que podría ser nuestro futuro si no reaccionamos a tiempo ante los efectos de la contaminación que día a día producimos en el mundo. Es evidente que siempre se han interpuesto los intereses económicos de las potencias y grandes conglomerados a los cuales poco les importa el daño que recibe el planeta tierra, pero hay cosas que tienen límites, que deberán ser atendidas en su momento y antes de que sea demasiado tarde.
Esta serie cuenta con un casting que es nada despreciable, podemos ver actores y grandes estrellas de la talla de Kit Harrington, David Schwimmer, Edward Norton y Meryl Streep, por mencionar algunos. Siento que cada uno calzó muy bien con su personaje tomando en cuenta la complejidad de las circunstancias en las cuales se ven envueltos, creo que es muy interesante ver como un actor transmite las emociones al tomar una decisión importante o al recibir información que es potencialmente catastrófica, y por supuesto series de éste género tienen mucho de eso. Les recomiendo mucho esta serie, creo que nos hace abrir los ojos en muchos aspectos que por ahora parecen no tener importancia, pero allí precisamente radica su valor. Mi puntuación para Extrapolations es de 7/10.
