Right now I can't think of series that have several seasons and that are not necessarily interconnected, the normal thing in the series format is that season after season the flow of the story is maintained in such a way that there is continuity in the general plot, I would say that this happens in 99% of the cases. There are other series in which each chapter is different, as in the case of Black Mirror, but in these the intention is to tell a completely different story.
In the case of The White Lotus, which right now has 3 seasons, the situation is a bit mixed, each story has a beginning and an end, but in the following season everything starts again with new characters, except for some very specific exceptions that do not necessarily force the fact that we are talking about the same general story, I would say that they are important complements to make it clear that we are talking about the same universe.
To give you some facts, The White Lotus is an HBO series directed by Mike White, the first season was released in the year 2021 and has right now 3 seasons. In the series, we see different renowned actors and actresses such as Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandre Daddario, Aubrey Plaza, Leslie Bibb, Walton Goggins, among many others who become part of a wide universe of characters that enrich in a very positive way each story and each season. I can't tell you the exact genre of the series, but I particularly detect a lot of comedy and drama.
Now, what is The White Lotus about, well, the name mentioned above refers to a chain of hotels that are distributed in different parts of the world which offer a service practically 5 stars. They are exotic hotels, with lots of green areas and wide beaches, it is normal to see good food, good drinks, parties and other elements that can be normal in hotel chains. At The White Lotus, it is common to receive entire families and people who are simply going to enjoy their vacations.

So, what we see in the different seasons are quite complex situations that arise as a result of interpersonal relationships that are gradually getting out of control, I think the fact that the people who meet there either to relax or to de-stress, makes them bring out internal things that perhaps in another environment they would not show. The White Lotus hotels are also an opportunity for greedy and ambitious people to try to take advantage of wealthy people through trickery and seduction, it is impressive what some can do to achieve their goals.
I highly recommend watching this series as it offers a universe of very entertaining situations for the viewer, the way in which the director handles comedy and drama is quite catchy, you can also feel airs of satire that amplify much more the intensity of the story. With The White Lotus you will feel anguish, you will laugh, you will cry and you will also see plot twists that are not negligible at all. I am grateful to have known this series which I hope will continue to be produced, the current format is quite successful and from my point of view it works quite well, it is definitely a series that is here to stay for many more seasons.
