I had been waiting for some time to see this movie and the reason is simple, I got a lot of images about it with some scenes where things happened that I found funny so I said I could not miss it and after so long, finally the day came, but I must tell you that I saw it without expecting much even when I read a few comments where they endorsed how good it was, but I always prefer not to take into account these things so they do not influence the time to see it on my own, therefore, today I want to talk about "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem".

The plot of this movie released on August 2, 2023 is quite similar to other movies or series related to the world of ninja turtles, in this particular case, we will meet some young ninja turtles who tired of hiding from people for so many years, want to be accepted and believe they have found a way to achieve it, fighting crime in the hope that people see them as heroes and all thanks to the help of a new friend they make, but it will not be as easy as they think. Let's talk a little more in depth about the movie.

The film begins with a squad which has the mission to capture a doctor named Baxter Stockman, who was the main genetic scientist of a research institute which managed to create a real mutant and this doctor escaped, so they must find him safe and sound to replicate his research, which is worth billions of dollars. The next thing we see is the doctor, who has managed to perfect the formula to create mutants and we know that his intentions are good, he does not want his creation to be used for evil, he simply wants a family to accept him and just appears the squadron and although the doctor tries to escape with the help of his beloved mutant is useless, the doctor dies, the little mutant escapes and the perfect liquid that had created the doctor ends up lost in a sewer.

Fast forward 15 years and we get a little introduction to our beloved ninja turtles, who have a very important mission to perform, infiltrate the world of humans to collect everything they have on a list (which is really a shopping list, only they are going to steal) and so one by one they go collecting each of the things noted on the list and when they are about to return, they take a little detour to enjoy a little more time in the world of humans, because they really love being there, when they have to go back, you notice a sad look on their faces for having to return to the sewers, a place that looks like a prison because of how they show the scenes and so they return to their home.

Here their father, Master Splinter, reminds them why the world of humans is dangerous, so he forbids them to go out again for a while. After time passes and they go out again, they end up embedding a ninja star in April's helmet, who loses her motorcycle because she was careless while she was claiming to the turtles what they had done, they decide to help her recover her motorcycle, so they face some bandits whom they defeat with a slight difficulty, This makes them think that if the rest of the people saw them as heroes, maybe they would accept them as well as April (who was a little scared at first) so they decide to join forces to find the most wanted villain so far and thus begin an adventure in search of being heroes.

I have a lot to say regarding my opinion and I want to divide it into different points, starting with the story, I don't know if this is a story that has been done in any other movie or series of the ninja turtles, but I really loved that in one way or another it was something new, for example I had no knowledge of the "first mutant" that Dr. Baxter created, so the story was something new and very enjoyable, honestly I was expecting the most iconic villain to be there, but not being there, I consider it was a good thing, because it could mean a kind of reboot to call it somehow and I liked this beginning for the development of future movies, so the story seemed phenomenal, I was very entertained at all times and I think it is something that had not happened to me with any other Ninja Turtles movie.

One of the most important aspects of the movie was the type of animation, I really loved it, the fluidity of the scenes, the transition in some others where they made combinations really seemed brilliant and something that excited me while watching it, so for me, it has been one of the best animation styles of the last years next to the one we all know of spider-man more recent, but in the case of the turtles it was something I didn't expect, so it really was something that together with the story allowed me not to get bored for a second, but although I liked the way of animating, I didn't like the design of some things, for example the humans, some humans looked more mutants than the ninja turtles themselves, but I would say that's something more personal to my criteria, but beyond that, total perfection in the animation.

Another of the things I enjoyed the most here was the references, the amount of references they included here from music to anime really delighted me and this only made it give it an air of actuality, really feel like it is a modern story where our beloved turtles are part of our current world with the trends we know and although that may go unnoticed for me it was one of the most interesting details without a doubt and that throughout the course of the film left me with a smile knowing what they were talking about and allowing one to connect more with the characters, something very well constructed.

Taking away the serious side of the movie, we all know how funny the ninja turtles can be and in this movie that was very present and in a very good way, it was a young sense of humor and it makes a lot of sense being a young ninja turtles, so everything seemed to fit together perfectly, this linked to the fact that the voices of the turtles were of real teenagers, made you genuinely feel that the turtles were too, this is another very interesting detail that I liked, the only character that I didn't like at all was Donatello, but it was just because of his voice, I don't know, he just made me uncomfortable, but that's a personal aspect.

Overall, I loved the movie from beginning to end and it seems to me that it is not being given the true support it deserves, it is as if it is a good movie but not good enough and honestly I don't consider it to be so, it seems to me one of the best releases of this year and it is something you can enjoy even without knowing anything about the ninja turtles and this seems to me a genius, because it allows every person to watch the movie, enjoy and feel connected with some little teenagers who just want to fit into society, a deeper story than it seems.

Llevaba algo de tiempo esperando ver esta película y el motivo es sencillo, me salieron muchas imágenes sobre la misma con algunas escenas donde sucedían cosas que me parecían graciosas por lo que dije que no podía perdérmela y después de tanto tiempo, por fin llegó el día, pero debo decirles que la vi sin esperar mucho aún cuando leí algunos pocos comentarios donde avalaban lo buena que era, pero siempre prefiero no tener en cuenta estas cosas para que no influyan al momento de verlas por mi cuenta, por lo tanto, el día de hoy quiero hablarles de “Tortugas Ninja: Caos mutante”.

La trama de esta película estrenada el 2 de agosto del año 2023 es algo bastante similar con otras películas o series relacionadas al mundo de las tortugas ninjas, en este caso en particular, conoceremos a unas jóvenes tortugas ninja quienes cansados de tanto esconderse de las personas por tantos años, desean ser aceptados y creen haber encontrado una manera para lograrlo, luchando contra el crimen con la esperanza de que las personas los vean como unos héroes y todo gracias a la ayuda de una nueva amiga que hacen, pero no será tan sencillo como creen. Hablemos un poco más a profundidad de la película.

La película comienza con un escuadrón el cual tienen la misión de capturar a un doctor llamado Baxter Stockman, quien era el principal científico genético de un instituto de investigaciones el cuál logró crear un mutante real y este doctor escapó, por lo que deben encontrarlo sano y salvo para poder replicar su investigación, la cual tiene un valor de miles de millones de dólares. Lo siguiente que vemos es al doctor, quien ha logrado perfeccionar la fórmula para crear mutantes y conocemos que sus intenciones son buenas, no quiere que usen su creación para el mal, él simplemente quiere una familia que lo acepte y justo aparece el escuadrón y aunque el doctor intenta escapar con ayuda de su querido mutante es inútil, el doctor muere, el pequeño mutante escapa y el liquido perfecto que había creado el doctor se termina perdiendo en una alcantarilla.

Avanzamos 15 años y se nos presenta una pequeña introducción a nuestras queridas tortugas ninjas, quienes tienen una misión muy importante que realizar, infiltrarse en el mundo de los humanos para recolectar todo lo que tienen en una lista (que realmente es una lista de compras, sólo que ellos van a robar) y así uno a uno va recolectando cada una de las cosas anotadas en la lista y cuando están por regresar, se desvían un poco para disfrutar un poco más de tiempo en el mundo de los humanos, porque realmente les encanta estar allí, cuando deben volver, se nota una mirada triste en sus rostros por tener que regresar a las alcantarillas, lugar que parece una prisión por cómo muestran las escenas y así vuelven a su hogar.

Aquí su padre el maestro Splinter les recuerda el por qué es peligroso el mundo de los humanos, por lo que les prohíbe volver a salir por un tiempo. Luego que el tiempo pasa y vuelven a salir, por hacer algunas tonterías terminan incrustando una estrella ninja en el casco de April, quien pierde su moto por descuidarse mientras le reclamaba a las tortugas lo que habían hecho, estas deciden ayudar a recuperar su moto, por lo que se enfrentan a unos bandidos a quienes vencen con una leve dificultad, esto les hace pensar que si el resto de personas los viese como héroes, quizás los aceptarían al igual que April (quien se asustó un poco al principio) por lo que deciden unir fuerzas para encontrar al villano más buscado hasta el momento y así empezar una aventura en busca de ser héroes.

Tengo mucho que decir con respecto a mi opinión y quiero dividirlo en distintos puntos, empezando por la historia, desconozco si esta es una historia que se haya hecho en alguna otra película o serie de las tortugas ninjas, pero realmente me encantó que de una manera u otra fuese algo nuevo, por ejemplo yo no tenía conocimiento del “primer mutante” que creó el doctor Baxter, por lo que la historia se me hizo algo nuevo y muy disfrutable, honestamente yo me esperaba que estuviese el villano más icónico, pero al no estar, considero que fue algo bueno, porque podría significar una especie de reinicio por llamarle de alguna manera y me gustó este comienzo para el desarrollo de futuras películas, así que la historia me pareció fenomenal, estuve muy entretenido en todo momento y creo que es algo que no me había sucedido con alguna otra película de las tortugas ninja.

Uno de los aspectos más importantes de la película fue el tipo de animación, realmente me encantó, la fluidez de las escenas, la transición en algunas otras donde hicieron combinaciones realmente me pareció brillante y algo que me emocionó mientras lo veía, por lo que para mí, ha sido uno de los mejores estilos de animación de los últimos años junto a la que todos conocemos de spider-man más reciente, pero en el caso de las tortugas era algo que no me esperaba, por lo que realmente fue algo que junto a la historia me permitió no aburrirme ni un segundo, pero aunque me gustó la manera de animar, no me gustó mucho el diseño de algunas cosas, por ejemplo los humanos, algunos humanos parecían más mutantes que las propias tortugas ninja, pero diría que eso es algo más personal de mi criterio, pero más allá de eso, perfección total en la animación.

Otra de las cosas que más disfruté aquí fue las referencias, la cantidad de referencias que incluyeron aquí desde música hasta animes realmente me encantó y esto sólo hizo darle un aire de actualidad, realmente sentir que es una historia moderna donde nuestras queridas tortugas forman parte de nuestro mundo actual con las tendencias que nosotros conocemos y aunque eso pueda pasar desapercibido para mí fue uno de los detalles más interesantes sin duda y que en todo el transcurso de la película me dejó con una sonrisa al saber de qué estaban hablando y permitiendo que uno conecte más con los personajes, algo muy bien construido.

Quitando el lado serio de la película, todos conocemos lo divertidas que pueden ser las tortugas ninja y en esta película eso estuvo muy presente y de una manera muy buena, fue un sentido del humor joven y tiene mucho sentido al ser unas jóvenes tortugas ninja, por lo que todo parecía encajar a la perfección, esto ligado a que las voces de las tortugas fueron de verdaderos adolescentes, hizo que uno sintiese genuinamente que las tortugas también lo era, este es otro detalle muy interesante que me gustó, el único personaje que no me gustó del todo fue Donatello, pero fue sólo por su voz, no lo sé, simplemente me incomodaba, pero ya eso es un aspecto personal.

En términos generales, la película me ha encantado de principio a fin y me parece que no se le está dando el verdadero apoyo que merece, es como si fuese una película buena pero no lo suficiente y honestamente yo no considero que sea así, me parece uno de los mejores estrenos de este año y es algo que puedes disfrutar incluso sin conocer nada de las tortugas ninja y esto me parece una genialidad, porque permite que toda persona pueda ver la película, disfrutar y sentirse conectados con unos pequeños adolescentes que sólo quieren encajar en la sociedad, una historia más profunda de lo que parece.
