El peligro sigue latente en un lugar en dónde hacer ruido es mortal... "A Quite Place Part II"
En el 2018 me sorprendió mucho la primera entrega de esta historia, no tuve la oportunidad de verla en el cine y espere un buen tiempo hasta verla en la comodidad de mi casa, ese día me coloque mis audífonos y me senté a disfrutar de tan buen film, el impacto que tiene primeramente del sonido y después de un estruendoso sonido haría que el film fuera mejor, en realidad fue una gran experiencia ver este film con mis audífonos puesto y pensaba que seguramente sería una experiencia diferente a la que tuve al ver esta primera película en mi hogar.

In 2018 I was very surprised by the first installment of this story, I did not have the opportunity to see it in the cinema and waited a good time until I saw it in the comfort of my home, that day I put on my headphones and sat down to enjoy such a good film, the impact it has first of sound and then a thunderous sound would make the film better, it was actually a great experience to see this film with my headphones on and I thought it would surely be a different experience than the one I had when watching this first film at home.
"A Quite Place Part II" es una secuela directa de su predecesora, seguimos a Evelyn Abbott junto a sus tres hijos comenzar un viaje para sobrevivir del ataque de las criaturas que cazan a quien haga cualquier tipo de ruido, su viaje silencioso para sobrevivir tienen un rayo de esperanza porque tienen un arma que podrá acabar con estas poderosas criaturas, pero a pesar de tener una ventaja igual sigue siendo mínima para los otros peligros que podrán enfrentar en un nuevo lugar, es por eso que deberán seguir usando el silencio para poder mantenerse con vida en un mundo lleno de peligros.
"A Quite Place Part II" is a direct sequel to its predecessor, we follow Evelyn Abbott and her three children as they begin a journey to survive the attack of the creatures that hunt anyone who makes any kind of noise, their silent journey to survive has a ray of hope because they have a weapon that can kill these powerful creatures, but despite having an equal advantage is still minimal to the other dangers they may face in a new place, that is why they must continue using silence to stay alive in a world full of dangers.
John Krasinski regresa en la dirección y toma control de la escritura del guion para este film; su trabajo con el uso de la cámara es el mejor, me gustó mucho toda la secuencia inicial de la película, el caos que transmite cada una de estas escenas es emocionante e impactante, es una gran decisión es seguir a su personaje en principal ya que él no será parte de este film y demuestra que tan importante era su personaje para esta historia, lo otro que me ha gustado son las numerosas tomas en dónde apreciamos hermosas imágenes y después unas terroríficas, creo que a pesar de ser este un film más centrado en pocas escenas o en dónde la historia se lleva a cabo en pocos lugares, Krasinski hace todo lo posible para tomar excelentes momentos con su cámara.
La historia no se aleja para nada de lo que fue la anterior, yo la primera parte la considere un film familiar, un drama sobre la pérdida de un hijo y los traumas con los que debe lidiar toda una familia, aparte de eso siempre pensé que este film era de como tomar control de tu vida y no vivir con miedo, eso me dejó las escenas finales de la primera parte, pero como dije anteriormente, está secuela directa se sigue viviendo con el temor hacia estas criaturas, el drama familiar de como padres son sobreprotectores y eso puede pasar su miedo hacia sus hijos y seguro pensaran como un padre no será sobreprotector en un mundo apocalíptico, pero a pesar de eso, creo que existe un mensaje de que de alguna forma debemos superar nuestros miedos y ayudar a otros a que hagan lo mismo. A parte de todo lo antes descrito quiero resaltar el cómo se sientan las bases para otra secuela más, revelando de dónde provienen las criaturas y mostrando lo que antes era este pequeño pueblo y lo que es ahora.
John Krasinski returns to directing and takes control of the screenwriting for this film; his work with the use of the camera is the best, I really liked the whole opening sequence of the film, the chaos that transmits each of these scenes is exciting and shocking, it is a great decision to follow his main character since he will not be part of this film and shows how important his character was for this story, the other thing I liked are the numerous shots where we appreciate beautiful images and then some terrifying ones, I think that despite this being a film more focused on few scenes or where the story takes place in few places, Krasinski does his best to take excellent moments with his camera.
The story doesn't stray at all from what the previous one was, I the first part I considered it a family film, a drama about the loss of a child and the traumas that a whole family must deal with, other than that I always thought this film was about taking control of your life and not living in fear, that left me with the final scenes of the first part, but as I said before, this direct sequel is still living with the fear towards these creatures, the family drama of how parents are overprotective and that can pass their fear towards their children and for sure they will think how a parent will not be overprotective in an apocalyptic world, but despite that, I think there is a message that somehow we must overcome our fears and help others to do the same. Apart from everything described above I want to highlight how it lays the groundwork for yet another sequel, revealing where the creatures come from and showing what this small town used to be and what it is now.
Sobre las actuaciones quiero resaltar a Cillian Murphy como Emmett y Millicent Simmonds como Regan, el primero hace de alguien que ha perdido todo y que solo está esperando el final, alguien sin esperanza, lleno de culpa y tristeza, escondido viviendo con vergüenza; del trabajo de Simmonds es tal como sucedió en la primera parte, es una de las mejores, es una parte muy importante para esta historia y ella lo transmite de buena manera, el uso del sonido cada vez que aparece su personaje nos da una buena sensación de lo que ella está viviendo en diferentes situaciones, entonces es su actuación, el sonido y las tomas nos dan una buena perspectiva de la que considero la verdadera protagonistas de este film y debo hablar de la buena química que hay entre ella y Murphy.
About the performances I want to highlight Cillian Murphy as Emmett and Millicent Simmonds as Regan, the first one plays someone who has lost everything and is just waiting for the end, someone without hope, full of guilt and sadness, hidden living with shame; of Simmonds's work is just as it happened in the first part, she is one of the best, she is a very important part for this story and she transmits it in a good way, the use of sound every time her character appears gives us a good feeling of what she is living in different situations, then it is her acting, the sound and the shots give us a good perspective of what I consider the real protagonist of this film and I must talk about the good chemistry between her and Murphy.
Esta película la vi dos veces, ninguna en el cine, la primera vez la vi con buenos amigos, pero no pude captar mucho de la historia ni de las actuaciones y al final no tuve muy buenas sensaciones, pero sabía que debería verla tal como lo hice con la primera parte, sentado tranquilo en mi hogar con los audífonos puestos enfocado en todo lo que nos da este film y debo decir que disfrute mucho está secuela, prestando mucha atención a todo, no importo que ya había visto el film, en las escenas en dónde debemos asustarnos, me asusté y mucho más que la primera vez, esto es un gran acierto para las personas encargadas del sonido, la edición y claro, a su director y guionista que hicieron muy resaltante su trabajo. Sé que dentro de un tiempo habrá un Spin-off de este film que seguramente sea una precuela y habrá una tercera parte de esta historia, como dije, las bases para otra más están puestas en este film y posiblemente estos sobrevivientes deban enfrentar a nuevos peligros junto a estas criaturas, recomiendo este film por si no la han visto y mi último consejo es que la vean con un público muy callado o verla en tranquilidad con los audífonos puestos.
I saw this movie twice, neither in the theaters, the first time I saw it with good friends, but I could not catch much of the story or the performances and in the end I did not have very good feelings, but I knew I should see it as I did with the first part, sitting quietly in my home with headphones on focused on everything that gives us this film and I must say that I really enjoyed this sequel, paying close attention to everything, no matter that I had already seen the film, in the scenes where we must be scared, I was scared and much more than the first time, this is a great success for the people in charge of sound, editing and of course, its director and screenwriter who did a very outstanding job. I know that in a while there will be a spin-off of this film that will surely be a prequel and there will be a third part of this story, as I said, the bases for another one are laid in this film and possibly these survivors must face new dangers with these creatures, I recommend this film if you have not seen it and my last tip is to see it with a very quiet audience or watch it quietly with headphones on.
