La dirección fue por parte de Tim Story quien dirigió ambas películas de "Fantastic Four" para la extinta 20th Century Fox y también dirigió la exitosa comedia "Barbershop"; en esta oportunidad hace el trabajo correcto en resultar la comedia y más cuando esté es un pequeño film en dónde no hay la necesidad de hacer algo artístico en las imágenes y si resaltar el trabajo de grupo de actores que comparten muchas escenas; en mi opinión es un buen trabajo, hay escenas cómicas, existe una buena conexión con los guionistas y se nota muy bien la química entre todos los involucrados en el proyecto.

Lo mejor del film son las actuaciones de la mayoría de sus protagonistas, existen un grupo de los actores que hacen un buen trabajo con respecto a las escenas de comedia y que completan a lo que posiblemente no tengan un buen desempeño actoral; cada uno cumple con un rol o con un estereotipo en específico y eso los hace ser comicos; mi personaje favorito es "Clifton" (Jermaine Fowler), "Dewayne"(Dewayne Perkins), "Shanika" (X Mayo) y "Allison" (Grace Byers); cada uno está muy bien interpretado, con sus características muy bien definidas siendo esas diferencias las que generan buenas escenas de comedia en el film.
