Netflix very recently added Jerry Seinfeld's heartwarming web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, which started airing back in 2012 on the Stone Age platform Crackle.

Having hardly paid much attention to the show during its earliest years, I decided to allow Netflix's sheer convenience of binge-watching a series devour me into this world of comedians and coffee; and as a result, I have found a new love.

This show can very easily be summarised as comedians in cars getting coffee together, but it's so, so much more, and it's evident in the small tales of life and history that's forever cemented in an art that is often overlooked, yet adored by many: comedy.

Each episode is relatively short, yet displays a simple encounter of two people as they drive vintage cars two various locations across Los Angeles, and New York to grab something to eat and get a hot drink of coffee, all while discussing their loves and hates in life, alongside their fondest of memories. This makes the show absolutely fascinating to watch, as well as incredibly funny as various types of comedy clash and become one. We see a side to many comedians and celebrities that is often ignored, and we learn of trivia surrounding their successes, as well as their failures.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is a show that is simplistic in its nature, but riddled with themes that are rather unique in shows of a similar nature; it's a reminder to laugh and enjoy the small things in life. It's a show with genuine substance: there's thought; emotion; culture; and there's life. Jerry Seinfeld has created something great as the creator, host, and producer of what is quite literally a car ride's discussion filmed and uploaded to the Internet.

With four seasons available--at ten episodes each--on Netflix, it's well-worth a binge when you're struggling to find a film or show to just sit back and relax to; to just shut your brain off and listen to something that's both funny, and lovely.
