Hola, amantes del cine. Como les mencioné recién, he estado buscando trailers de películas que puedan gustarme y bueno, no arranqué con buen pie, Nivel 16 no fue la mejor opción, pero encontré esta joyita que me ha dejado enamorada y encantada. Se llama Simple Simon (I Rymden Finns Inga Känslor, por su título original que significa “En el espacio no hay sentimientos”), aunque en la traducción española le ponen El Tonto Simon; se trata de un film sueco del 2010 dirigido por Andreas Öhman (también sueco). Es protagonizada por Bill Skarsgård, sí, el mismo de IT; de hecho, estuve leyendo ciertos comentarios y fue con esta película (Simple Simon) con la que se lanzó a conocer y también me enteré que era hermano de otros dos actores que tuvieron una fuerte participación en la serie Vikingos. Bueno, retomando el tema, me costó un poco conseguirla en línea; en las páginas en donde acostumbro conseguir de todo no se hallaba, hasta que por fin di con una y la vi en seguida. Como es de costumbre, dejo los datos de la respectiva Fuentes; también recordándoles que las capturas fueron tomadas desde mi pc mientras la veía.
Hello, movie lovers. As I mentioned just now, I've been looking for movie trailers that I might like and well, I didn't start off on the right foot, Level 16 wasn't the best choice, but I found this little gem that has left me in love and enchanted. It's called Simple Simon (I Rymden Finns Inga Känslor, for its original title which means "In space there are no feelings"), although in the Spanish translation they call it El Tonto Simon; it's a 2010 Swedish film directed by Andreas Öhman (also Swedish). It stars Bill Skarsgård, yes, the same from IT; in fact, I was reading some comments and it was with this movie (Simple Simon) that he became known and I also found out that he was the brother of two other actors who had a strong participation in the Viking series. Well, going back to the subject, it took me a while to get it online; in the pages where I usually get everything I could not find it, until I finally found one and I watched it right away. As usual, I leave the details of the respective source; also reminding you that the screenshots were taken from my pc while I was watching it.
Simon es un chico muy especial, tiene Asperger. Pero más allá del hecho de su condición, que si bien es difícil, me parece un total y absoluto encanto lo que Simon hace por su hermano Sam: buscarle una novia. Todo lo que le toca atravesar a Simon es una locura (en el sentido inocente de la palabra), no se detiene ante nada para lograr su objetivo. Muy a pesar de que no entendiera de sentimientos, no le gustan y son innecesarios para él, tiene un empeño de lograr su cometido. Pero es que cada escena es tan tierna o graciosa que no puedes simplemente decir: “me gustó más cuando…”, no, es imposible para mí. Simon tiene esa simpatía asocial que atrae a los espectadores pero parece que no a las personas de su mundo, porque según Sam “nadie le gusta Simon”, y es un gran error del que él mismo se da cuenta.
Simon is a very special boy, he has Asperger's. But beyond the fact of his condition, which while difficult, I find what Simon does for his brother Sam - finding him a girlfriend - totally and utterly charming. Everything Simon has to go through is crazy (in the innocent sense of the word), he stops at nothing to achieve his goal. Even though he doesn't understand feelings, he doesn't like them and they are unnecessary for him, he is determined to achieve his goal. But every scene is so tender or funny that you can't just say: "I liked it better when...", no, it's impossible for me. Simon has that asocial likeability that appeals to viewers but apparently not to the people in his world, because according to Sam "no one likes Simon," and it's a big mistake that he himself realizes.
Los polos opuestos se atraen, así funcionan las personas.
La forma de ver el mundo no es tan simple para Simon, es obvio, pero su hermano Sam le explica todo de una forma que él lo entiende muy rápido y por eso es que es la única persona a la que quiere. Me encanta cómo muestran el cómo ve el mundo Simón y cómo busca entenderlo. Sam es el único de entrar en ese mundo y aceptar a Simon tal cual es, por eso sus ejemplos para que él logre entender las cosas son tan geniales y sencillos que nos hace pensar ¿por qué no explicamos las cosas así siempre?, nos evitaríamos más de un problema.
Opposites attract, that's how people work.
The way Simon sees the world is not so simple for Simon, it's obvious, but his brother Sam explains everything to him in a way that he understands very quickly and that's why he's the only person he loves. I love how they show how Simon sees the world and how he seeks to understand it. Sam is the only one to enter that world and accept Simon as he is, that's why their examples for him to get him to understand things are so cool and simple that it makes us think why don't we always explain things like that, we would avoid more than one problem.
Golpear tu cara. No me gusta que la gente me toque.
Si acaso Sam lo podía tocar sin recibir una bofetada o un empujón, pero Jennifer… Dios, la amé. Tenía una visión totalmente distinta a la que conocía Simon y eso muchas veces le molestaba. La verdad es que Jennifer es la mata de la paciencia, no importaba cuántas veces la golpeara, empujara, tirara, lo que fuera, ella no dejaba de hacerlo y como que en silencio les gustaba a los dos. Ella se convierte en otra figura necesaria para Simon aunque él diga que no necesita de nadie porque ya tiene a San, pero lo cierto es que le agrada Jennifer también; además, también tiene una forma sencilla de explicarle las cosas y de mostrarle el mundo a su forma.

If anything Sam could touch him without getting slapped or shoved, but Jennifer...God, I loved her. She had a totally different outlook than Simon knew and that often bothered him. The truth is Jennifer is so full of patience, no matter how many times he hit her, pushed her, pulled her, whatever, she just wouldn't let up and kind of quietly liked them both. She becomes another necessary figure for Simon even though he says he doesn't need anyone because he already has San, but the truth is that he likes Jennifer too; besides, she also has a simple way of explaining things to him and showing him the world in her own way.
Los mejores actores secundarios.
La película es muy fresca, el paisaje le ayuda mucho pero otro punto fuerte para mí fue la sencillez del reparto, eran pocos pero los necesarios para llevar a cabo esta obra maestra. Aunque hubo quienes se llevaron parte de mis aplausos fue el trio de compañeros del trabajo de Simon, cada uno es un personaje único, loco y con su historia. Me encantaron. Y lo mejor es que a pesar de que Simon no los consideraban amigos, también pudo darse cuenta de que sí lo eran.
Best supporting actors.
The film is very fresh, the scenery helps it a lot but another strong point for me was the simplicity of the cast, they were few but the ones needed to pull off this masterpiece. Although there were those who took part of my applause was the trio of Simon's co-workers, each one is a unique character, crazy and with their own story. I loved them. And the best part is that even though Simon didn't consider them friends, he could also tell that they were.
Pero si ya te estoy tocando…
Aunque todo lo que estaba haciendo era para Sam, poco a poco se dio cuenta de que sí necesitaba a Jennifer en su vida, le agradaba. Por eso me encantó tanto el final, esa conversación y una acción tan simple pero tan valiosa… y ver por fin la sonrisa de Simon, no tuvo precio. Otro plus a esta relación, fue el hecho de que Jennifer buscara agradarle a Simon desde el inicio, a medida que lo fue conociendo, tenía ciertos detalles hacia él que Simon no captaba tan rápido pero igual no le daba importancia. Amé el personaje de Jennifer, fin.
But I'm already touching you...
Even though everything he was doing was for Sam, he slowly realized that he did need Jennifer in his life, he liked her. That's why I loved the ending so much, that conversation and such a simple but precious action... and to finally see Simon's smile, it was priceless. Another plus to this relationship, was the fact that Jennifer sought to please Simon from the beginning, as she got to know him, she had certain details towards him that Simon didn't pick up on so quickly but still didn't care about. I loved Jennifer's character, the end.

Me fascinó esta película. No muestran la condición desde la discapacidad ni desde la enfermedad, simplemente como una vida distinta y una meta que termina con un premio más grande. Este tipo de films no hubiese calado si lo hubiesen hecho en América, esta condición para mucho es un tabú y la hubiesen mostrado desde esos aspectos que quizás no sean del todo negativos porque al final dan un mensaje motivador y todo pero se queda solo allí. Con esta muestra, da un vuelco ante estas personas y cómo deberíamos ser con ellos si alguna vez nos los topamos. Así que es un mega sí, sí la recomiendo por mil veces. Entonces, como siempre les digo: “Si no la han visto, véanla, y si ya la vieron, vuélvanla a ver, no tiene perdida de nada”, yo lo haré de nuevo muy pronto. Será hasta un próximo post.

I was fascinated by this movie. They don't show the condition from the disability or the disease, simply as a different life and a goal that ends with a bigger prize. This type of film would not have been successful if it had been made in America, this condition for many is a taboo and they would have shown it from those aspects that may not be entirely negative because in the end they give a motivational message and all but it remains only there. With this show, it turns around these people and how we should be with them if we ever run into them. So it's a mega yes, yes I recommend it for a thousand times. So, as I always tell you, "If you haven't seen it, see it, and if you have seen it, see it again, you can't miss anything", I will do it again very soon. It will be until a future post.
