Hello anime fans. Today I want to talk about one of the best anime, if not the best anime, in history and in the science fiction genre. This is one of the best animated masterpieces that I have had the pleasure of watching last year when it was broadcasted. This adaptation is based on the original work that bears the same name and was created by the great Osamu Tesuka, the "God of Manga", who is the same creator of "Astro Boy", of which Pluto is part as one of its arcs. His son, Makoto Tezuka was in charge of supervising the work after his father's death. Naoki Urasawa is also part of the small list of creators or mangakas who collaborated with the production of this story (along with Takashi Nagasaki as co-writer), which was later adapted to anime by three major studios: Genco, Tezuka Production and Studio M2. Plot
The anime tells the story of Gesicht, a robot detective working for Europol, who is tasked with a recent multiple murder case involving robots and humans. This takes place in a future where robots and humans coexist in peace with practically similar rights, there are also several super intelligent robots that have the ability to feel emotions and have thoughts very similar to humans. However, one of them is the victim of such a murder. On its body, the killer leaves a sign like a horned head.
The robot detective searches for clues and signs of who might have caused these murders, which could hardly have been a human. While this may be the work of a robot, the case is complicated by the fact that due to the laws they have, robots cannot cause harm. However, as Gesicht interrogates the one robot who has become a dangerous killer, the robot gives him a clue by mentioning the name "Pluto" which is what the killer refers to every time he leaves the horns after every kill he leaves behind. The clues that are appearing and the direction in which the development of this case is going will make our protagonist relive a dark past that he prefers not to remember.

El anime nos cuenta la historia de Gesicht, un robot detective que trabaja para la Europol, a quien se le encarga un reciente caso de asesinato múltiple de robots y humanos. Esto sucede en un futuro donde los robots y humanos conviven en paz con derechos prácticamente similares, también existen varios robots súper inteligentes que tienen la capacidad de sentir emociones y tener pensamientos muy parecidos a los de los humanos. Sin embargo, uno de ellos es víctima de dicho asesinato. En su cuerpo, el asesino deja una señal como de una cabeza con cuernos.
El robot detective busca pistas y señales de quién pudo haber sido el causante de estos asesinatos, los cuales difícilmente podría haber sido un humano. Esta nueva adaptación animada que forma parte de la historia de este clásico, Pluto, es una muestra de la grandiosidad que tenía el “Dios del Manga” al momento de crear historias y personajes fascinantes. En este caso, podemos disfrutar, no solo de una super mega producción animada que puede competir con cualquier otra obra maestra de la actualidad, sino también una historia que, por muchos robots que aparezcan, tiene tanto sentimiento y profundidad que la misma mente humana.
Para empezar, la increíble forma de mostrarnos un mundo futurista donde reina la paz entre robots y humanos y donde la tecnología ha avanzado tanto que las mismas máquinas pueden llegar a pensar y razonar hasta el punto de sentir emociones muy similares a las que nosotros sentimos es algo fascinante. Y es que estas historias clásicas que podemos ver en otras obras del género de la ciencia ficción fácilmente podemos suponer que fueron inspiradas mayormente por esta obra. El protagonista, el cual en este caso es Gesicht, es un robot inteligente que siente y razona igual que un humano, pero lo que más impresiona no es eso, sino la complejidad y los secretos que este posee y giran en torno a su vida, el cual la comparte con su esposa. Su historia está repleta de drama, misterios y muchos temas relacionados con la complejidad del bien y el mal.

The appearance of a mysterious villain that leaves clues and that upon searching for him we find signs of a turbulent past that completely changed the world; a war between machines that caused the most powerful robots in the world to now feel cornered by a dangerous enemy. A "demon" from a dark past, a threat to the peace of humanity, a terror to the few survivors of that war, a lethal weapon that can fight with the "perfect robot" itself; all this and more is what you will see in this wonderful animated work.
The animation, of course, is one of its strongest points, being produced by two studios and animated by a third, the level of quality that we can witness in its 8 chapters is simply magnificent. The fluidity of each shot, the fascinating work they dedicated to each and every detail and the effort they gave to recreate each shot, each scene and each emotion and moment in each of the characters is something that earns my complete admiration and respect. The special effects and sound effects are a marvel, as well as the soundtrack, which blends perfectly with the story and each of the scenes. Each episode and story conveys that feeling of mystery, drama and suspense that builds up to a perfect ending. Undoubtedly, this anime takes the first place in my personal top of "the best anime of 2023", not to say that of all history.
Personally, I give it a well-deserved rating of 10/10 for the genre of science fiction, mystery, suspense, drama and action.

Y no solo está él, sino también los demás personajes, los cuales se desarrollan muy bien al conocer la historia de cada uno, sus sentimientos y opiniones acerca de un tema que se repite mucho durante todo el anime: ¿Puede un robot sentir lo mismo que un ser humano? La aparición de un villano misterioso que deja pistas y que al buscarlo encontramos señales de un pasado turbulento que cambió por completo el mundo; una guerra entre máquinas que causó que los robots más poderosos del mundo se sientan ahora acorralados por un peligroso enemigo. Un “demonio” de un pasado oscuro, una amenaza para la paz de la humanidad, un terror para los pocos sobrevivientes de dicha guerra, un arma letal que puede combatir con el mismo “robot perfecto”; todo esto y más es lo que verán en esta maravillosa obra animada.
La animación, por supuesto, es uno de sus puntos más fuertes, al ser producida por dos estudios y animada por un tercero, el nivel de calidad que podemos presenciar en sus 8 capítulos es simplemente magnífico. La fluidez de cada plano, el fascinante trabajo que le dedicaron a todos y cada uno de los detalles y el esfuerzo que le dieron de recrear cada plano, cada escena y cada emoción y momento en cada uno de los personajes es algo que gana mi más completa admiración y respeto. Los efectos especiales y de sonido son una maravilla, así como también la banda sonora, la cual se mezcla perfectamente con la historia y cada una de las escenas. Cada episodio e historia transmite ese sentimiento de misterio, drama y suspenso que cada vez va creciendo hasta desembocar en un final perfecto. Sin duda alguna, este anime se lleva el primer puesto en mi top personal de “los mejores animes del 2023”, para no decir que de toda la historia.
Personalmente, le doy una muy merecida calificación de 10/10 en lo que respecta al género de ciencia ficción, misterio, suspenso, drama y acción.
