Plot

Y si bien la trama nos hace recordar un poco a Sword Art Online, que esto no les confunda, mucho menos que el protagonista lleve una cabeza de pájaro encima, este anime es excelente e independiente en muchos sentidos.
Aparte de presentarnos muy bien el mundo virtual de Shangri-La Frontier, nuestro protagonista, Sunraku, es excelente enseñándonos cómo es que un videojuego de este estilo funciona y está tan bien hecho en cuanto a jugabilidad e historia. Aparte, la misma historia que nos muestra dentro del videojuego es como poco interesante ya que nos presentan personajes y mundos que son fantásticos y curiosos. Si bien la trama principal gira en torno a nuestro protagonista, este nos muestra una forma de ver el mundo de los videojuegos muy distinto a como estamos acostumbrados a verlo en obras como SAO. Esto hace de este anime una experiencia inmersiva completa en un mundo virtual que pondrá a prueba las capacidades y habilidades de cada jugador.

However, from the beginning we are shown that this is a character that seeks to enjoy 100% this famous video game, which shows him that it is something he has never seen before, putting our protagonist to the test many times without stopping.
On the other hand, the other characters work very well, fulfilling a predefined role but without standing out so much, except for two or three. The animation, on the other hand, is one that, while not the best animation in the world, complies very well with its visual section, sometimes combining 2D with 3D but still maintaining a unique and very well done style that stands out, especially in battles. And speaking of battles, it has one or another that are some of the best I've seen in the past year. Finally, what caught my attention the most is that, despite being a typical action-adventure anime, it doesn't have any sign of fanservice, which is fine, since there's no need for it in this case.

En cuanto a personajes, tampoco es que cuente con los mejores desarrollos de la historia, pero cumplen muy bien con lo esperado al tener como protagonista a Sunraku, quien es el típico chico divertido y optimista que le encanta jugar videojuegos basura y que, gracias a eso, tiene muchísima experiencia en cuanto a jugabilidad y demás. En las escenas de peleas se destaca, no por ser un personaje poderoso o invencible ni mucho menos, sino por tener muy buenas habilidades y una experiencia que lo ayuda bastante. También está el detalle de que no necesita de un “Harem” de chicas como compañía para que destaque por sí mismo. Sin embargo, desde el principio nos muestran que este es un personaje que busca disfrutar al 100% este famoso videojuego, el cual le muestra que es algo que nunca antes ha visto, poniéndo a prueba a nuestro protagonista muchas veces sin parar.
Por otro lado, los demás personajes funcionan muy bien, cumpliendo con un roll predefinido pero sin destacar tanto, a excepción de dos o tres. La animación, en cambio, es una que, si bien no es la mejor animación del mundo, cumple muy bien con su apartado visual, combinando a veces el 2D con el 3D pero manteniendo a su vez un estilo único y muy bien hecho que resalta, más que todo en batallas. Y hablando de batallas, tiene una que otra que son de las mejores que he visto el año pasado. Por último, lo que más me llamó la atención es que, a pesar de ser un anime típico de acción y aventuras, no tiene ninguna señal de fanservice, lo cual está muy bien, ya que no hace falta en este caso.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 9/10 en lo que respecta al género de acción, aventura y comedia.
