So I finally know why Lana Wachowski doing this without Lily. It is a sign of unwillingness. But Lana knows how to handle this.
The hint was when they re-introduced Thomas Anderson as the maker of the game called ‘The Matrix’ in a studio called ‘Deus Machina’, which means ‘The God of the Machine’ or in a film term, the director.
Yes. Thomas Anderson is Lana Wachowski.
He is trapped in the fame of the world that he created, which is 1999 The Matrix (he almost jump down over the rooftop due to that). It is worse than an artist-block. It is a curse and he hated it. He cants seem to be coming up with anything new anymore. He laments it.
His shrink, called The Analyst, which is also the metaphor for Hollywood, wants to lure him into making another one, by making money through recognizable icons (deja vu!)
This is where Bugs (Bunny, Warner Brothers) tries to guide him in doing so (follow the ‘white rabbit). She helps Neo (Lana Wachowski) build up a story, and conflict (for the sake of the film narrative)
In short, it is Lana making fun of the ‘Hollywood’ demands of creating a big hit like 1999 The Matrix.
And Lana did so. Almost in a spoof manner in some instances.
Do they want it to have the ‘Bullet Time?’ Ok ‘I know Kung Fu?’ Ok Nostalgia-inducing voices of Neo calling out Trinity? Ok
And the return of Merovingian character as an old grumpy beggar says it all! Both films after the first Matrix was not Wachowsky’s (Brothers) plan!
The Analyst (Hollywood) attempt to kill the trademark character of Neo and Trinity, Star Wars-style, did not happen and you see swarms of unhappy Woke and general crowd reviewers chasing them on that final city-bike scene like zombies. But Neo and Trinity smashed them all away like flies.

And Agent Smith? He is basically the dark side of Neo. You see near the end he fought ‘Hollywood’ together and achieve Nirvana yet again, like in Matrix Revolution.
The character Bugs might have been the new ‘Rey Skywalker’, as ‘Hollywood’ might have requested, for another strong female ‘Mary Sue’.
Yes. Lana obliged. But by empowering Trinity.
The Analyst ‘Hollywood’ is taken by surprise! Neo and Trinity flew off! Victory!
Lana Wachowski is saying through this Resurrection installment - Hands off 1999 The Matrix! Leave the legacy alone!
Also, it is about a film that is aware of itself! Simulacres et Simulation.
Genius!
