In 1985 Jackie Chan presents one of the must-see films in the action genre: Police Story. Here, Chan fully demonstrates his skills as an action star, as an action choreographer and as a director.

Slapstick humor is based on physical violence, is exaggerated and has existed since the very beginning of cinema, its first representatives being Max Linder in France, André Deed in Italy, and Mack Sennet, in the United States. Later, Buster Keaton, Charles Chaplin, and Harold Lloyd, among others, emerged.
Jackie Chan has never denied that his action scenes are based on this type of humor, and even acknowledges being influenced by these masters of slapstick.

Police Story, directed by Jackie Chan, stars himself, Brigitte Lin, and Maggie Cheung.
Chan Ka Kui (Jackie Chan), is a Hong Kong policeman, who after a disastrous chase, catches Lord Cho (Chor Yuen) a drug trafficker mobster. Selina Fong (Brigitte Lin), Cho's secretary, is willing to testify against him, so the policeman must protect her.
On the day of the trial, the girl disappears and the criminal is released for lack of evidence. Now it will be up to Chan to get enough evidence to stop the drug dealer from continuing his criminal reign.
Police Story, esta dirigida Jackie Chan, la protagoniza el mismo, Brigitte Lin, y Maggie Cheung.
Chan Ka Kui (Jackie Chan), es un policia de Hong Kong, que tras una desastrosa persecución, atrapa a Lord Cho (Chor Yuen) un mafioso narcotraficante. Selina Fong (Brigitte Lin), la secretaria de Cho, está dispuesta a declarar contra él, por lo cual el policía debe protegerla.

Here we see a chaotic shootout involving criminals who were going to sell an important stash of drugs and the police. These thugs decide to flee downhill through a small town using a series of cars that will destroy everything in their path, and the protagonist decides to do the same by chasing them.
II. - The chase hanging from the bus.
Aquí vemos una caótica balacera que inmiscuye criminales que iban a vender un importante alijo de drogas y la policía. Estos matones deciden huir colina abajo por un pequeño poblado utilizando una serie de automóviles que destruirán todo a su paso, y el protagonista decide hacer lo mismo al perseguirlos.

III.- Destroying a Shopping Mall.
Aca el protagoniza una queda colgando de un bus de dos pisos, dando vida a una de las escenas más recordadas del film.

The protagonist, trying to clear his name after being blamed for a murder he did not commit, confronts Lord Chao's henchmen in a series of high quality stunts.
In the filming of the movie a number of stuntmen suffered injuries, Jackie Chan burns his hands and is almost paralyzed because of the scene in which he climbs down a pole adorned with lights.
El protagonista intentando limpiar su nombre al ser culpado de un asesinato que no cometió se enfrenta a los secuaces de Lord Chao presentando escenas de riesgo de gran calidad.
