All of them are special because I relate them in different moments of my life, but I chose Splash, because it was the first time I saw Tom Hanks.

At that time I only watched cartoons, so I was impressed to see a mermaid in flesh and blood, besides falling in love with a human and not a prince charming.

En ese tiempo solo veía dibujos animados, así que me impresiono ver a una sirena en carne y hueso, además de enamorarse de un humano y no un príncipe azul.
I think because of how young I was this movie is so special to me, today it is still a classic that I sometimes watch and although it is a very silly story for some it is a well told story of love and overcoming obstacles to achieve happiness despite differences. One of the scenes I adore is when Allan (Tom), asks Madison (Daryl) his name, in the TV sales store, and when he pronounces her name, the sound shatters all the glass around. Another iconic scene for me is when he discovers that she is a mermaid and Allan runs away, only to realize that she is the love of his life.
Creo que por lo joven que era esta película es tan especial para mí, hoy sigue siendo un clásico que a veces veo y aunque sea una historia muy tonta para algunos es una historia bien contada de amor y de superar obstáculos para lograr ser felices a pesar de las diferencias. Una de las escenas que adoro es cuando Allan (Tom), le pregunta su nombre a Madison (Daryl), en la tienda de venta de televisores, y cuando pronuncia su nombre, el sonido rompe todos los cristales alrededor. Otras de las escenas para mi icónica es cuando él descubre que ella es sirena y Allan huye, para luego darse cuenta de que ella es el amor de su vida.
