Hello friends, welcome to my blog, the movie that I bring you today is an action movie by one of the most prolific directors in this genre, Michael Bay, who in the nineties did not delight in movies like: "The Rock" and "Bad Boys”, just to name a few. His formula already used in these films is used again to bring us this film, “Ambulance”, a film that from start to finish will have us tied to our seats with a dizzying pace of action scenes. Perhaps the difference with other films of his is that I take in a timid and subtle way, but without delving into the subject of war veterans who are abandoned to their fate by the government, after completing services and the ties that do not unite our families.

Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog, la película que les traigo hoy es una película de acción de uno de los directores más prolíferos en este género, Michael Bay, quien en los noventa no deleito con películas como: “La Roca” y “Bad Boys”, solo por nombrar algunas. Su fórmula ya usada en estas películas la vuelve a usar para traernos esta cinta, “Ambulancia”, una película que de comienzo a fin nos tendrá atados a nuestros asientos con un ritmo vertiginoso de escenas de acción. La diferencia quizás con otras de sus películas es que tomo de manera tímida y sutil, pero sin profundizar el tema de los veteranos de guerra que son abandonados a su suerte por el gobierno, luego de cumplir servicios y los lazos que no unen a nuestras familias.
Starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Will Sharp), Jake Gyllenhaal (Danny Sharp) and Eiza González (Camile “Cam” Thompson), this film is about a former marine (Will), whose wife is sick and needs an operation to save her life. his life, desperate he goes to his adoptive brother to ask him to borrow the money for the operation. At this point we will see one of the most exciting chases in cinema, with incredible scenes and effects to try to escape from the authorities.

Danny (Jake), está dispuesto a ayudarlo, pero a cambio le pide que lo acompañe en un robo, sin opciones Will decide aceptarlo. Acá sucederán una serie de situaciones que harán que el robo fracase, obligando a ambos hermanos huir y para ello secuestraran una ambulancia para escapar. En este punto veremos una de las persecuciones más emocionantes del cine, con escenas y efectos increíbles para tratar de escapar de las autoridades.
I loved the film that, although it is somewhat predictable, it excites and entertains you with the situations it presents during the chase. Eiza's (Cam) performance is very solid and believable and almost steals many of the scenes, I think the best thing about this film, above its special and camera effects, is having such solid performances from Jake, Yahya and Eiza. The chemistry of the 3 is felt in their performances. Jake and Yahya's dysfunctional, sibling-loving relationship is extraordinary, even though Will doesn't approve of his family's way of life, he loves and somehow protects him, as does Danny, who does the unthinkable to protect it.
Me encanto de la película que, aunque es algo predecible, te emociona y entretiene con las situaciones que presenta durante la persecución. La actuación de Eiza (Cam), es muy solidad y creíble y casi se roba muchas de las escenas, creo que lo mejor de esta cinta, por encima de sus efectos especiales y de cámara, es contar con las actuaciones tan sólidas de Jake, Yahya y Eiza. La química de los 3 se siente en sus actuaciones. La relación disfuncional y de amor entre hermanos de Jake y Yahya, es extraordinaria, a pesar de que Will no aprueba el modo de vida de su familia, los ama y de alguna manera lo protege, al igual que Danny, que hace lo impensable para protegerlo.
The film at the end takes a little unexpected twist and that's a good thing because it deviated us from what Michael Bay used to us. It had been a long time since I'd seen a movie that was at that pace of action from the beginning and I liked it, especially because unlike those movies of the nineties, this script by Chris Fedak touches on important issues of how war veterans are treated later to return to his civilian life and the relationships between brothers, it is a pity that he did not deepen his stories to give us more complex characters. Despite this, the film is full of small nuances that, through flashbacks, tell us a little about the past of these 3 characters who for 136 minutes have us glued to the screen to see the outcome.
La película al final da un pequeño giro inesperado y eso es algo bueno porque nos desvió de lo que Michael Bay, nos acostumbra. Hacía mucho no veía una película que desde comienzo fuera a ese ritmo de acción y me gusto, sobre todo porque a diferencia de aquellas películas de los noventa, este guion de Chris Fedak, nos toca temas importantes de como son tratados los veteranos de guerra luego de regresar a su vida civil y las relaciones entre hermanos, lástima que no profundizara sus historias para darnos unos personajes más complejos. A pesar de esto, la cinta está llena de pequeños matices que, a través de flashback, nos cuenta un poco del pasado de estos 3 personajes que durante 136 minutos nos tienen pegados a la pantalla para ver el desenlace.
The end is one of the best scenes and it's worth watching because it doesn't escape reality and will have its detractors for those who passed throughout the story. I liked it and I think it was the best given the circumstances. If you haven't seen this movie yet, I invite you to do so, it will keep you on your toes with incredible chase and action scenes. With a dizzying pace where you will not get bored, but despite this, it is just a tape to entertain, that does not leave you a lesson, learning and is not memorable. From that point of view it is worth seeing.
El final es uno de las mejores escenas y vale la pena verla porque no escapa a la realidad y tendrá sus detractores por los que paso a lo largo de la historia. A mí me gusto y me parece que fue el mejor dada las circunstancias. Si aún no ha visto la has visto esta película, te invito hacerlo, te mantendrá en vilo con escenas increíbles de persecución y acción. Con un ritmo vertiginoso donde no te aburrirás, pero a pesar de ello, es solo una cinta para entretener, que no te deja una lección, aprendizaje y no es memorable. Bajo esa óptica vale la pena verla.
