Robert Cargill, he tells us a story based on the short story by Joe Hill, pseudonym of Stephen King's son. The story is about a serial killer of children nicknamed "The Grabber" in the 1970s. Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog, hoy voy a hablarles de una de las mejores películas de terror que he visto en mucho tiempo, esta cinta está dirigida por Scott Derrickson y junto al guionista C. Robert Cargill, nos relata una historia basada en el cuento de Joe Hill, seudónimo del hijo de Stephen King. La historia trata de un asesino en serie de niños que apodaron el “The Grabber”, en los años setenta. No haré spoiler para que la vean y disfruten de esta película que tiene la combinación perfecta de thriller de terror, en dónde lo sobrenatural y el suspenso juegan un rol importante en cada parte de la historia.

Particularmente crecí en los 80 y la cinta se sitúa en 1978, lo que para mí no fue tan violenta con los estándares de ahora, claro que hay escenas que, si lo son, pero en realidad pocas. Lo sobrenatural acá juega un papel importante, pero no desde el punto de visto de la maldad, por el contrario, es un factor determinante para ayudar a sobrevivir al protagonista de la historia, Finney Blake (Mason Thames), quien debuta como actor principal en esta película, la verdad que me encanto su actuación, creo que se convertirá en uno de los mejores actores de su generación, habrá que verlo en futuras películas, pero me impresiono con su naturalidad y dominio del personaje.
