Gracias a su enorme éxito es un referente dentro de la cultura gamer. Este año y después de muchos intentos que no se concretaron, nace la serie de la mano de Paramount+. Escrita por Steve Kane y Kyle Killen, nos muestra este personaje de los juegos, Master Chief Sierra-117 “John” (Pablo Schreiber), un super soldado de un cuerpo elite “Spartan”, quién fue criado y entrenado desde su infancia para el combate. Su misión enfrentarse a los enemigos de la UNSC (The United Nations Space Command).
This series, despite being inspired by a Game, is not the same and perhaps this great difference is what makes many gamers criticize and are their biggest detractors. The series begins in the 26th century, at the beginning of an intergalactic conflict against an alien race called "The Covenant", who attack and destroy distant colonies, some of them rebels who seek independence from their world, considering the UNSC as dictators who want to seize their resources, this is the case of Madrigal. This world is ruled by a group of generals who see the UNSC as their enemies and the Spartans as bloodthirsty soldiers and murderers.
Esta serie a pesar de ser inspirada en un Juego, no es igual y quizás esta gran diferencia es lo que haga que muchos gamer critiquen y sean sus mayores detractores. La serie comienza en el siglo 26, en el comienzo de un conflicto intergaláctico contra una raza alienígena llamada “El Covenant”, quienes atacan y destruyen colonias lejanas, algunas de ellas rebeldes que buscan la independencia de su mundo, por considerar a la UNSC como dictadores que desean apoderarse de sus recursos, este es el caso de Madrigal. Este mundo esta gobernado por un grupo de generales que ve a la UNSC, como sus enemigos y a los Spartan, como soldados sanguinarios y asesinos.

En Madrigal los Convenant llegaran buscando un artefacto milenario escondido en el planeta, atacaran y destruirán una de los campamentos de el general líder, pero los Spartan llegaran para pelear contra los alienígenas, en la lucha solo quedará la hija de general, Kwan Ha (Yeri Ha). John encontrará el artefacto, pero al tocarlo cambiará su vida para siempre, gracias a el recordará su pasado y comenzará a sentir cosas que nunca antes había sentido. Junto a Kwan intentará averiguar que es ese aparato y porque solo con el funciona. Así se ira desarrollando la serie que consta de 9 capítulos en su primera temporada. Mostrándonos el pasado de los personajes y sus historias, así como la de su escuadrón.
Until now, in which 7 chapters have elapsed, in my opinion this series has come from less to more, it is not faithful to the game and its creators made that clear from the beginning, but it is not uncommon for gamers to make comparisons with big changes of its protagonist and the way the series has been developing. I think that making John more human with feelings, doubts and questions makes this character grow, Pablo's performance is masterful and there is still much to see, but in each chapter the series improves and creates solid foundations for a great story with characters that not only entertain us, but also contribute to the story.
Hasta ahora en la que han transcurridos 7 capítulos, en mi opinión esta serie ha venido de menos a más, no es fiel al juego y eso lo dejaron claro desde el principio sus creadores, pero no es raro hacer comparaciones para los gamer los grandes cambios de su protagonista y la forma que se ha venido desarrollando la serie. Pienso que al hacer a John más humano con sentimientos, dudas y preguntas hace que este personaje crezca, la actuación de Pablo es magistral y aun queda mucho por ver, pero en cada capitulo va mejorando la serie y creando bases solidas para una gran historia con personajes que no solo nos entretengan, sino que aporten a la historia.

One of the characters that I like the most is Cortana (Natasha), who is also Dr. Halsey who is the creator and head of the Spartan program, a scientist who has no limits to achieve her goals in the post of "the best for the race". human”. Soren (Bokeem), a former Spartan program soldier and John's friend, who is a space pirate. They are two of my favorite characters.
La serie cuenta con un reparto de actores como: Natacha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Bentley Kalu, Natacha Culzac, Kate Kennedy, Jen Taylor, Olivia Gray, Charlie Murphy, Danny Sapani, Ryan McParland, entre otros. Unos de los personajes que más me gusta es Cortana (Natasha), quien es también la Dra. Halsey quien es la creadora y cabeza del programa Spartan, una científica que no tiene limites para conseguir sus metas en post de “lo mejor para la raza humana”. Soren (Bokeem), ex soldado del programa Spartan y amigo de John, quien es un pirata espacial. Son dos de mis personajes favoritos.
There are still 3 episodes left before the end of the first season, but so far the characters are on the right track spinning their stories, the action scenes and the special effects are good and the series keeps you entertained and expectant with what happened. If I have to criticize something, it is that perhaps the special effects should be better and with more action scenes, but they are acceptable for a Sci-fi series. If you have not seen this series I invite you to do so.
Aun faltan 3 episodios para que culmine la primera temporada, pero hasta ahora los personajes van por buen camino hilando sus historias, las escenas de acción como los efectos especiales son buenos y la serie te mantiene entretenido y expectante con lo que ocurrida. Si debo criticar algo es que talvez los efectos especiales deberían ser mejores y con más escenas de acción, pero son aceptables para una serie de Sci-fi. Si no has visto esta serie te invito a hacerlo.
