Hello friends, welcome to my blog, taking advantage of the weekend that passed I caught up with some series and movies that I had pending, one of them was "American Underdog", it is the biography of one of the best players in the NFL, Kurt Warner. It is a story that shows us that dreams, despite all the obstacles placed in our way, we can make them come true if he perseveres and fights to do so. I loved the story because of his human quality behind a man who, with his imperfections and mistakes, managed to become a Hall of Famer in one of the most beloved sports by Americans, soccer.
Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog, aprovechando el fin de semana que paso me puse al día con algunas series y películas que tenia pendiente, una de ellas era “American Underdog”, es la biografía de uno de los mejores jugadores de la NFL, Kurt Warner. Es una historia que nos demuestra que los sueños a pesar de todos los obstáculos que se nos coloquen podemos hacerlos realidad si se persevera y lucha para hacerlo. Me encanto la historia por su calidad humana detrás de un hombre que con sus imperfecciones y errores logro convertirse en Hall de la Fama de uno de los deportes más queridos por los americanos el futbol.

La cinta es biográfica, nos cuenta la vida de Kurt Warner, desde sus comienzos, como desde niño soñó en convertirse en un jugador profesional de la NFL, como en la universidad a pesar de jugar no destaco a pesar de sus intentos de figurar y no quedar en los 40 mejores jugadores que reclutan para la NFL. Veremos su lucha interna por seguir en el deporte o abandonar. Al graduarse ya era considerado viejo para seguir jugando, pero Kurt siempre mantuvo su sueño por más imposible que pareciera.

Dirigida por Andrew Erwin y Jon Erwin, esta película es protagonizada por Zachary Levi, Anna Paquin y Dennis Quaid. Nos retrata la vida de Kurt un hombre con un gran corazón y el amor de su vida Brenda (Anna) quien lo apoyará a lo largo de toda su carrera. Kurt representa el sueño americano ese hombre que, viniendo de abajo, triunfa por su esfuerzo y trabajo para convertirse en campeón y estrella de la NFL. La cinta es una oda al sueño americano, familiar y entretenida con un elenco de primera.
The negative is that if you are looking for some extreme emotion you will not find it here, another negative point in the age of the actors, in my opinion they should have placed other actors who fulfilled their roles as young people, but despite this, the chemistry and the great acting of Anna and Zachary makes us forget that detail. It is a family film, entertaining and well spun that tells the life of one of the great players of American football. With a good script and emotional moments that leave you glued to the TV and that at the end leave you with a good taste for the triumph of man over adversity, something that we all like and admire.
Lo negativo es que si buscas algo de emoción extrema acá no lo encontraras, otro punto negativo en la edad de los actores, en mi opinión debieron colocar otros actores que cumplieran sus roles de jóvenes, pero a pesar de ello la química y la gran actuación de Anna y Zachary nos hace olvidar ese detalle. Es una cinta familiar, entretenida y bien hilada que cuenta la vida de uno de los grades jugadores del futbol americano. Con un buen guion y momentos emocionales que te dejan pegado al tv y que al terminar te dejan un buen sabor por el triunfo del hombre ante la adversidad, algo que todos nos gusta y admiramos.
The film is aimed at the Christian public, so one of the messages that stands out is the faith to accept bad things, but also to find the strength to move forward. I am not one to watch movies directed to this genre, but this film subtly touches on faith without making it the protagonist, but as the engine that drives us to get the best of ourselves and fight for the things we want. If you have the opportunity to see it, I recommend it. It is a film to watch as a family and that does not focus only on sports but on the life of a man who dared to dream big and fought to achieve that dream. My rating is 9 out of 10.
La película es dirigida al publico cristiano, por ello uno de los mensajes que resalta es la fe para aceptar las cosas malas, pero también para buscar la fuerza para salir adelante. No soy de ver películas dirigida a este genero, pero está cinta toca la fe de manera sutil sin hacerla la protagonista, sino como el motor que nos impulsa para sacar lo mejor de nosotros y luchar por la cosas que queremos. Si tienes oportunidad de verla te la recomiendo es una película para ver en familia y que no se centra solo en el deporte sino en la vida de un hombre que se atrevió a soñar en grande y lucho por conseguir ese sueño. Mi calificación es 9 de 10.
