Hello friends, welcome to my blog, this weekend I saw a series that premiered this year and I didn't know anything about it, its cast caught my attention and I decided to give it a chance even though I gave myself the task of find out what it was about and had mixed comments between good and bad. So despite the opinions divided by the quality of the cast, I risked seeing it and that it has 10 chapters. This series has a team of writers led by Harriet Warner, who in my opinion has created some complex characters that will be revealed in each chapter through flashbacks.
These complex and dark characters will be the ones to keep us on our toes as the plot unfolds. They will show us their faces and that not everything is black or white, the shades of gray will show us how people can react to adverse circumstances or despair. It is a thriller where suspense, psychology and human emotions play a key role. The story focuses on three characters, Emma (Lily Rabe), who was in jail for being the girlfriend of a serial killer Kit Parker (Xavier Samuel) and who does not remember anything that happened, nor the victims of her murder. groom. Mary (Amy Brenneman), a mother seeking to learn the truth about her missing daughter and possible victim of Emma's boyfriend. John (Hamish Linklater), a serial rapist seeking redemption and trying to turn his life around.
These three characters will be subjected to enormous pressure to find their own paths towards the answers they seek, but they will discover in the process what they are capable of doing and how far they will go to achieve their goal. This series also has other characters such as Dr. Pete Guillroy (Enrique Murciano), who will surprise us as the FBI psychiatrist who is in charge of taking care of Emma, but who actually has a somewhat dark past, he is a controlling and macho character. The supporting characters are also well-crafted, each contributing important roles at times like Rose (Chiara Aurelia), Jake Barlow (Elliot Fletcher), Kit Parker (Xavier Samuel), among others.
I liked the series, because of the characters and the twists that are surprising during each chapter, in addition to the fact that all the events happen quickly and when you think you are going one way, it surprises you with something unexpected that keeps you on your toes and attentive. to what happened. Although the story is strong in the emotional aspect, it also shows us the human side and the conflicts between doing the right thing and helping or simply doing what suits us. Everything in this series is well built and each of the characters shows us its history.
