Hello friends, welcome to my blog, I recently saw the new installment of the movie The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves. This new installment is totally different from the previous ones and focuses on the beginning of Batman in its beginnings, where the story of this superhero is born, more similar to the comics than to the different adaptations that we saw years ago with other actors. A dark film that reminds me a lot of Tim Burton's style, but with its own style of narration and a different way of telling the story.
Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog, hace poco vi la nueva entrega de la película The Batman, dirigida por Matt Reeves. Esta nueva entrega es totalmente diferente a las anteriores y se centra en el principio de Batman en sus comienzos, en donde nace la historia de este super héroe más parecido a los comics que a las diferentes adaptaciones que vimos hace años con otros actores. Una cinta oscura que me recuerda mucho al estilo de Tim Burton, pero con un estilo propio de narración y la forma diferente de contar la historia.
We find ourselves in a Gothic city, plunged into despair, consumed by crime and delinquency, where Batman appears as a vigilante to bring some justice in a fractured society. Starring Robert Pattinson (Batman), who I must say didn't like his choice for the role (I didn't think he was capable of realistically embodying such a complex character), but who surprised me to tell the truth by giving him an air of darkness and inexpression with emotions, which gives you the impression of a cold being without emotions, when in reality inside he is a whirlwind of unreleased emotions that torture him and move him along that thread between hatred, revenge and doing the right thing.
Nos encontramos a una ciudad Gótica, sumida en la desesperanza, consumida por el crimen y la delincuencia, en donde Batman aparece como un justiciero para traer algo de justicia en una sociedad fracturada. Protagonizada por Robert Pattinson (Batman), quién debo decir que no me gusto su escogencia para el papel (no lo creí capaz de encarnar de manera realista un personaje tan complejo), pero que me sorprendió a decir verdad al darle un aire de oscuridad e inexpresión con las emociones, que te da la impresión de un ser frio sin emociones, cuando en realidad por dentro es un torbellino de emociones no liberadas que lo torturan y lo mueven por ese hilo entre el odio, venganza y el hacer lo correcto.
As the female partner we will see Zöe Kravitz in this film, who will play Selina Kyle, a girl who moves between criminals and the mafia, a professional thief who seeks to solve her past and settle debts. She will be the one who identifies with Batman the most because her desire for revenge unites them. Other renowned actors will accompany them in this new film such as Jhon Turturro, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright and others. One of the characters that impressed me because of his physical change is Colin Farrell, who is unrecognizable on the tape in his character Oz, the penguin who appears here as a minor figure, but growing.
Como la compañera femenina veremos en esta cinta a Zöe Kravitz, quien hará de Selina Kyle, una chica que se mueve entre delincuentes y la mafia, ladrona profesional quien busca resolver su pasado y saldar deudas. Ella será quien se identifique más con Batman porque sus deseos de venganza los une. Otros actores de renombre los acompañaran en esta nueva cinta como Jhon Turturro, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright y otros. Una de los personajes que me impresiono por su cambio físico es Colin Farrell está irreconocible en la cinta en su personaje Oz, el pingüino quien acá aparece como una figura menor, pero en crecimiento.
In this installment his enemy will be the Riddler, who is played by Paul Dano, he will see in Batman a source of inspiration to carry out his revenge on everything he considers guilty of his situation. With the macabre games of him leaving clues for Batman after each murder, he forces him to use his intellect to find out what's really going on in the city. The character we see in the film is very different from the one in the comics, he has no costume and his methodology is different. He's always one step ahead of Batman, but wanting to get caught so the world knows who he is.
En esta entrega su enemigo será el Acertijo, quien lo encarna Paul Dano, verá en Batman una fuente de inspiración para realizar su venganza en todo lo que considera culpable de su situación. Con sus juegos macabros al dejar pistas para Batman luego de cada asesinato, lo obliga a usar su intelecto para averiguar que es lo que en realidad pasa en la ciudad. El personaje que vemos en la película es muy diferente al de los comics, este no tiene disfraz y su metodología es diferente. Siempre un paso delante de Batman, pero queriendo ser atrapado para que el mundo conozca quien es él.
The negative is that it is somewhat slow and a bit disjointed during the first hour, if you think you will see a film like The Avengers, where the special effects, action scenes at every moment will keep you glued to the chair, it is not like that, it has some action scenes but not great special effects, we are in a film where Batman is more of a detective, solving an intricate puzzle that will lead him to discover the leaders of the mafias, corruption and crime of Gotham to fight to bring them to justice.
Lo negativo es que es algo lenta y un poco inconexa durante la primera hora, si crees que verás un cinta tipo The Avengers, en donde los efectos especiales, escenas de acción a cada momento te mantendrán pegado a la silla, no es así, tiene algunas escenas de acción pero no grandes efectos especiales, estamos en una cinta en donde Batman es más un detective, resolviendo un intricado rompecabezas que lo llevará a descubrir a los cabecillas las mafias, corrupción y delincuencia de Gótica para luchar por llevarlos a la justicia.
In my opinion, of all the adaptations of Batman, this one is undoubtedly more faithful to the Batman of the comics, but I don't know if it's the best, for me it lacked, it didn't meet my expectations, it wasn't bad but I wasn't completely enthusiastic. I understand that due to censorship they did not place the Batman who moves between that thread of violence and his code of not killing, but those half measures make some scenes lose the emotion. Batman is an antihero, he is a human being, with his complexities, he does not have super powers and therefore he is easier to identify with the common citizen, that is what makes him different from other heroes, but it is also his weakness. In my opinion I classify this film with a 7 out of 10.
En mi opinión de todas las adaptaciones de Batman esta sin lugar a dudas es más fiel al Batman de los comics, pero no sé si la mejor, para mi le faltó, no lleno mis expectativas, no fue mala pero no me entusiasmo del todo. En tiendo que por censura no colocaran al Batman que se mueve entre ese hilo de violencia y su código de no matar, pero esas medías tintas hacen que algunas escenas se pierda la emoción. Batman es un antihéroe, es un ser humano, con sus complejidades, no tiene super poderes y por ello es más fácil de identificar con el ciudadano común, eso es lo que lo hace diferente a otros héroes, pero es también su debilidad. En mi opinión esta cinta la clasifico con un 7 de 10.
