Hello friends, welcome to my blog, I recently finished a series on the Netflix platform, recommended by a friend who loves Korean series and movies, which this platform has been broadcasting for a long time. Woo An extraordinary lawyer, is a series that I particularly loved because of the way they presented the main character Woo (Eun-Bin Park), a girl who, at 27 years old, must overcome her disabilities to succeed in a professional and competitive environment as it is practicing as a lawyer in a major law firm.

Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog, hace poco terminé una serie de la plataforma Netflix, recomendada por una amiga que le encantan las series y películas coreanas, que desde ya tiempo esta plataforma está transmitiendo. Woo Una abogada extraordinaria, es una serie que particularmente me encanto por la manera que presentaron el personaje principal Woo (Eun-Bin Park), una chica que, a los 27 años, deberá superar sus discapacidades para triunfar en un ambiente profesional y competitivo como lo es ejercer como abogada en un importante bufete.

One of the things that I liked about the series is that, from the point of view of the protagonist, it shows us how people with the autism spectrum are different, that not all of them are the same, that in some cases it can be more marked and others mild. that are usually accompanied by other disorders or syndromes such as Asperger's. It seems to me that this is important to understand in order to make the public aware of what Autism is and its different spectrums. In Woo's case, she is autistic with Asperger's, with an IQ of 164, but with an inability to understand social relationships, which often makes her the target of ridicule. Despite having little to no social skills, she graduated with honors from the University of Seoul, which shows us that being on the autism spectrum doesn't mean you're not smart.

Una de las cosas que me gustó de la serie es que, desde la óptica de la protagonista, nos muestra como las personas con espectro de autismo son diferentes, que no todas son iguales, que en algunos casos puede ser más marcadas y otras leves, que vienen acompañas por lo general de otros trastornos o síndromes como Asperger. Me parece que esto es importante de entender para así concientizar al público de que es el Autismo y sus diferentes espectros. En el caso de Woo, es una autista con Asperger, con un coeficiente intelectual 164, pero con la incapacidad de entender las relaciones sociales, lo que muchas veces la convierte en blanco de burlas. A pesar de tener pocas o cero habilidades sociales, se graduó con honores de la Universidad de Seúl, lo que nos demuestra que padecer de algún espectro de Autismo, no significa que no seas inteligente.  

We will see in this series how Woo will adapt to his work, his character will evolve, as well as the relationship with his co-workers. I found it interesting that in the series he will show us what the mind of an autistic person is like, his way of reasoning and understanding the situations he faces on a daily basis. For those of us who are familiar with this spectrum, this series helps us understand them better. The different situations that arise in Woo's life, from work, his way of dealing with situations and personal problems, make this series not only moving, but also funny and very human. There are still many prejudices against people with disabilities in society and series like these allow us to take a look at what they are like and understand them, I think this is important.

Veremos en esta serie como Woo, se irá adaptando a su trabajo, su personaje ira evolucionando, así como la relación con sus compañeros de trabajo. Me pareció interesante que en la serie nos mostrará como es la mente de un autista, su manera de razonar y entender las situaciones a la que se enfrenta en el día a día. Para lo que tenemos un familiar con este espectro, esta serie nos ayuda a entenderlos mejor. Las diferentes situaciones que se presentan en la vida de Woo, desde el trabajo, su manera de enfrentar las situaciones y problemas personales, hacen de esta serie sea no solo conmovedora, sino también graciosa y muy humana. Aún existen muchos prejuicios contra las personas con discapacidades en la sociedad y series como estas permiten dar una mirada a como son y entenderlos, creo que esto es importante.  

I also liked how the cast complemented each other, the performances are magnificent, Tae-Oh Kang will be the boy who will awaken for the first time romantic emotions that Woo never felt and who must learn to manage and understand them. Kang Ki-young, her boss, who will learn from her. They are only two of the characters in this series that impressed me, with solid and convincing performances. It is the first time I see a Korean series and I think it will not be the last, they are very well made and acted. Although they are a little pink for what I am used to seeing, they leave you with a pleasant feeling in a positive way.

También me gusto como el elenco se complementó, las actuaciones son magníficas, Tae-Oh Kang, será el chico que despertará por primera vez emociones románticas que Woo, que jamás sintió y que deberá aprender a manejarlas y entenderlas. Kang Ki-young, su jefe, quien aprenderá de ella. Solo son dos de los personajes de esta serie que me impresiono, con actuaciones sólidas y convincentes. Es la primera vez que veo una serie coreana y creo que no será la última, están muy bien realizadas y actuadas. A pesar de que sean un poco rosa para lo que acostumbro ver, te dejan una grata sensación de manera positiva.

I think that series like this, which, from a real point of view, show us the main traits and characteristics of autism, its spectra and syndromes, are important to educate society in an entertaining, fun, but also human way. Education is the best weapon against ignorance. Therefore, Woo, is an extraordinary series.

Pienso que series como esta, que, desde un punto de vista real, nos muestre los rasgos y características principales del autismo, sus espectros y síndromes, son importantes para educar de una manera entretenida, divertida, pero también humana, a la sociedad. Educar es la mejor arma contra la ignorancia. Por ello, Woo, es una extraordinaria serie.
