Hello friends of the Hive community, today I will talk about a series that has been successful since its inception, it was released in October 2015, made by the BBC, it is an adaptation of the literary franchise 'The Saxon Stories' created by Bernard Cornwell , the series had so far adapted the first eight novels and the fifth season will address the ninth and tenth. There are two more published and one that was released in 2020, so I imagine that 'The Last Kingdom' will arrive at least until its seventh season.

Hola amigos de la comunidad de Hive, hoy les hablare de una serie que ha sido exitosa desde sus comienzos, fue estrenada en octubre de 2015, realizada por la BBC, es una adaptación de la franquicia literaria 'The Saxon Stories' creada por Bernard Cornwell, la serie había adaptado hasta ahora las ocho primeras novelas y la quinta temporada abordará la novena y la décima. Hay otras dos más publicadas y una que fue lanzada en el 2020, por lo que imagino que 'The Last Kingdom' llegará como mínimo hasta su séptima temporada.

The series is set in the 9th century where what is now known as England were several independent kingdoms. In 872, the King of Wessex, Alfred the Great (David Dawson), defends his kingdom against invading Danish Vikings.

La serie está ambientada en el siglo IX donde lo que hoy se conoce como Inglaterra eran varios reinos independientes. En el año 872 el rey de Wessex, Alfredo El Grande (David Dawson), defiende su reino ante los invasores vikingos daneses.

The Anglo-Saxon lands are attacked and in many cases ruled by Viking forces. The kingdom of Wessex has been left alone under the command of King Alfred the Great. Uhtred (Alexandre Dreymon), the orphan son of a Saxon nobleman, is kidnapped by the Normans and raised as one of them. Thus, he is forced to choose between a kingdom that shares his ancestors and the people to whom he is loyal.

Las tierras anglosajonas son atacadas y en muchos casos gobernadas por fuerzas vikingas. El reino de Wessex se ha dejado solo bajo el mando del Rey Alfred el Grande. In the quest to claim his birthright, Uhtred must follow a dangerous path full of decisions that will lead him to question his loyalty between both parties if he wants to play a role in the birth of a new nation and thus recover his ancestral territory.
