Hello friends of Hive, today I am going to talk about one of my favorite series that ended after 6 seasons "Vikings". This series narrates in an extraordinary way the adventures of a farmer Ragnar Lothbrok, who thanks to his dreams of conquering and discovering new lands led him to become King.

Hola amigos de Hive, hoy les voy hablar de una de mis series favoritas que culminó luego de 6 temporadas “Vikingos”. Esta serie narra de manera extraordinaria las aventuras de un granjero Ragnar Lothbrok, quien gracias a sus sueños de conquista y descubrir nuevas tierras lo llevó a convertirse en Rey.

This series takes place in the Middle Ages and shows us how people lived at that time, what they went through to survive in a country where freezing temperatures and a difficult land to cultivate, drives its peoples to search through conquest and looting their survival.

Esta serie se sitúa en la edad media y nos muestra cómo se vivía en esa época, lo que pasaban para sobrevivir en un país en donde las temperaturas gélidas y una tierra difícil para cultivar, impulsa a sus pueblos a buscar a través de la conquista y el pillaje su sobrevivencia.

It shows us their culture and the Norse traditions that the Vikings professed, their devotion to the gods like Odin, in which their protagonist Ragnar believed himself to be a direct descendant. As well as a society where women were treated on a par with their men, with the same rights. They were also warriors just like men. One of the best representations of a warrior is Lagertha, Ragnar's wife, represents an independent and strong character who, more than a wife, is a companion and partner in adventures.

Nos muestra su cultura y las tradiciones nórdicas que los Vikingos profesaban, su devoción a los dioses como Odín, en el cual su protagonista Ragnar se creía descendiente directo. Así como una sociedad en donde las mujeres eran tratadas a la par de sus hombres, con los mismos derechos. Ellas también eran guerreras al igual que los hombres. Una de las mejores representaciones de una guerrera es Lagertha esposa de Ragnar representa un personaje independiente y fuerte que más que una esposa, es una compañera y socia de aventuras.

The series has throughout its 6 seasons with strong, enigmatic, noble, brave characters who live their transformations and doubts in a time plagued by myths, prophecies, legends and diseases. Characters that throughout the season catch and excite us but also make us cry when they die in battle, fighting for their beliefs and convictions.

La serie cuenta al largo de sus 6 temporadas con personajes fuertes, enigmáticos, nobles, valientes que viven sus transformaciones y dudas en una época plagadas por mitos, profecías, leyendas y enfermedades. Personajes que a lo largo de la temporada nos atrapan y emocionan pero también nos hacen llorar cuando mueren en batalla, luchando por sus creencias y convicciones.

The death of Ragnar, the struggle of his sons, Bjorg, Ivar and Ubbe (among them), to conquer Kattegat, the conquests and discoveries of new lands, betrayals, loves and power are just some of the ingredients that leave us with six wonderful seasons.
