Desde hace unos cuantos días estuve observando criticas sin spoilers de esta película, algunas de ellas incluso previas a su estreno para el público general, ya que eran hechas por personas que fueron invitadas a ver el largometraje en preestreno por parte de la propia empresa Warner Bros. la productora de la cinta, y en todas estas reseñas las opiniones emitidas han sido muy positivas y halagadoras hacia esta producción. Algunos han llegado a decir lo solo que es mucho mejor que la anterior, sino que es la mejor película de James Gunn, que supera a las de Guardianes de la Galaxia e incluso que este director debería ser colocado como el cerebro (algo equivalente a Kevin Feige en Marvel) de todo el Universo Extendido de DC, de modo que mis expectativas se inflaron bastante, pero luego de verla me he decepcionado mucho.
Debo decir que yo disfrute bastante la primera película de Escuadrón Suicida, no creo que sea una obra extraordinaria, pero tampoco creo que merezca todo el rechazo que se ha derramado sobre ella, me parece que algunas cosas influyeron mucho en eso, como que los fanáticos esperaban ver una gran participación del personaje del Joker y realmente fue muy pobre la interpretación de Jared Leto (quizá no tanto por falta de calidad interpretativa, sino por escasez de oportunidades en el guion), tampoco la trama era muy impresionante, pero tenía creo yo un buen tono, era entretenida y a mi parecer la química entre Margot Robbie y Will Smith era muy buena, a mi esa relación me gusta bastante y lo demás personajes me parecieron correctos.

Some have even said that it is only much better than the previous one, but that it is the best James Gunn film, that surpasses those of Guardians of the Galaxy and even that this director should be placed as the brain (something equivalent to Kevin Feige in Marvel) from across the DC Extended Universe, so my expectations were quite inflated, but after seeing her I was very disappointed.
I must say that I quite enjoyed the first Suicide Squad movie, I don't think it is an extraordinary work, but I don't think it deserves all the rejection that has been poured out on it, it seems to me that some things influenced that a lot, like the fans they expected to see a great participation of the character of the Joker and really the interpretation of Jared Leto was very poor (perhaps not so much due to a lack of interpretive quality, but because of a lack of opportunities in the script), the plot was not very impressive, but it had I think a good tone, it was entertaining and in my opinion the chemistry between Margot Robbie and Will Smith was very good, I like that relationship a lot and the other characters seemed correct.
De igual manera, la película en solitario de Harley Quinn, si es que se puede decir que fue en solitario cuando el título es “Aves de Presa: Y la fantabulosa emancipación de una Harley Quinn” y ella hace equipo con un grupo de mujeres renegadas, aunque también ha sido muy criticada debido a que es exageradamente feminista, poniendo a todos los hombres que aparecen en la trama como idiotas o degenerados, yo si bien estoy de acuerdo con eso, me parece bastante entretenido el largometraje, creo que tiene un estilo muy particular en su narración y eso le da un aire diferente, a mí me gusto la película, aunque tampoco es que sea de mis favoritas ni nada menos.
En cambio, esta nueva The Suicide Squad desde mi punto de vista se queda por debajo de ambas, creo que el humor que emplea es bastante estúpido, empezando por el hombre tiburón que es interpretado por Sylvester Stallone (King Shark), así mismo el que expulsa lunares de colores (Polka-Dot Man), el otro que se le separan los brazos del cuerpo (Cory Pitzner), que por suerte muere muy rápido. En resumen, muchos de los personajes son extremadamente ridículos y absurdos (al parecer eso es lo que le gusta a la gente). En cuanto al personaje de la comadreja humanoide (Weasel), me parece sumamente bizarro y repulsivo, pero tiene gracia, eso no lo voy a negar.

On the other hand, this new The Suicide Squad from my point of view falls below both, I think the humor it uses is quite stupid, starting with the shark man who is played by Sylvester Stallone (King Shark), as well as the one who ejects colored moles (Polka-Dot Man), the other one that separates his arms from his body (Cory Pitzner), who luckily dies very quickly. In short, many of the characters are extremely ridiculous and absurd (apparently that's what people like). As for the character of the humanoid weasel (Weasel), he seems extremely bizarre and repulsive, but he is funny, I will not deny that.
Los roles que a mi parecer eran más interesantes y podían dar mayor juego por su carácter y habilidades, generando escenas violentas y contrastando con la moral de otros integrantes del equipo, eran Capitán Bumerang y Savant, pues a ambos los eliminan a las primeras de cambio. Esto entiendo que tiene el propósito de generar impacto y demostrar que nadie estará a salvo, pero creo que los personajes elegidos son los menos apropiados, a no ser que la intensión sea crear una película tan disparatada como la que finalmente resulto.
Por otra parte, los protagonistas principales para mi gusto no tienen mucho atractivo, comenzando con el que interpreta John Cena(Peacemaker), que tan solo con ver el traje ya lo odio. La chica de las ratas (Ratcatcher) es de lo más olvidable, el villano de la cabeza con tacos (Gaius Grieves) es una caricatura andante y ni hablar de la estrella alienígena gigante (Starro), cuyo diseño me parece muy infantil. Quizá ese villano extraterrestre pudo ser algo muy intimidante y épico, pero lo convirtieron al igual que todo lo demás en una burda y ridícula parodia.

On the other hand, the main characters for my taste do not have much appeal, starting with the one played by John Cena (Peacemaker), who just by looking at the suit and I hate him. The girl with the rats (Ratcatcher) is the most forgettable, the villain with the head with heels (Gaius Grieves) is a walking cartoon and not to mention the giant alien star (Starro), whose design seems very childish to me. Maybe that extraterrestrial villain could be something very intimidating and epic, but they turned him like everything else into a gross and ridiculous parody.
Lo mejorcito de la película es el papel de Viola Davis como Amanda Waller, Margot Robbie como Harley Quinn y el de Idris Elba como Bloodsport, aunque tampoco es que sean una cosa demasiado especial, de hecho, creo que no es la mejor versión de Harley y en cuanto a Bloodsport, no está mal el personaje y tiene su gracia, pero no me hace olvidar la interpretación de Will Smith como Deadshot y su relación paternal con Harley. Ya lo de Viola Davis es otro cuento, en ese caso sí que no tengo quejas, el personaje es genial en lo suyo y la actriz es perfecta.
Para finalizar, diré que la trama no merece ni que se le dedique tiempo a describirla, es bastante simple y lineal, solo hare una vaga mención de la isla ficticia de Corto Maltés que como no podía ser de otra forma, se emplea para representar a las culturas latinoamericanas de una manera bastante ridícula. En lo que se refiere al supuesto giro “inesperado” de la trama, en el que se revela que quien está detrás del Proyecto Starfish es el propio gobierno estadounidense, no sé a quién podría sorprender eso, desde que se describió la misión en el primer momento, ya se podía intuir que no se trataba de proteger al mundo sino de ocultar la participación del Tío Sam para que no fuera expuesta por el nuevo régimen.

As for the supposed "unexpected" plot twist, in which it is revealed that the person behind Project Starfish is the US government itself, I don't know who that might surprise, since the mission was described in the first At the moment, it was already possible to intuit that it was not about protecting the world but about hiding Uncle Sam's participation so that it was not exposed by the new regime.
