No soy demasiado fan de los programas de comedia, por lo que quizá mi opinión sobre la calidad de una serie cómica no sea la más calificada de todas, pero en realidad me encanta La teoría del Big Bang y su estilo de comicidad. Según mi punto de vista encuadra en lo que yo califico como humor inteligente, aunque para algunas personas no es más que un grupo de locos diciendo cosas estúpidas, pero creo que lo que ocurre es que hay quienes no logran comprender sus chistes, pues en algunos casos son bastante elaborados y además requieren de conocimiento sobre la cultura pop y geek para poder contextualizarlos.
Esta es una serie de TV del formato sitcom (comedia de situación), es decir que narra en cada episodio historias auto conclusivas que se desarrollan mayormente en un mismo escenario e involucran a los mismos personajes, además se suelen agregar las llamadas risas enlatadas luego de cada comentario chistoso de sus personajes. Entre las sitcoms que más me han gustado se encuentran: Amigos, Dos hombres y medio, Alf, Tres por tres, Paso a Paso, El Príncipe del Rap, entre otras.
La teoría del Big Bang nos narra las vivencias de un grupo de Nerds que trabajan como investigadores en el Instituto Tecnológico de California (Caltech) y que, al hacerse amigos inseparables, pasan gran parte de su tiempo juntos, especialmente en el comedor de la universidad o en el apartamento en el que habitan dos de ellos, Sheldon y Leonard. A todos ellos se une su sexi vecina Penny, quien, pese a no ser otra nerd como Sheldon y Leonard, Howard y Raj, se vuelve inmediatamente parte fundamental de su círculo de amigos.

¿Realmente es comedia inteligente la de esta serie?
La comedia como cualquier otra expresión de arte, es algo que se evalúa desde la subjetividad de cada quien, de modo que es muy difícil definir cuál es la buena comedia y cuál es la mala, así como cual es inteligente y cual no, ya que siempre habrá personas a las que les guste una u otra forma de hacer comedia o les parezca más inteligente una u otra. Sin embargo, está claro que uno de los elementos que pueden ayudar a distinguir a las personas con mayor capacidad intelectual del resto, es precisamente su sentido del humor y el tipo de cosas que suelen hacerles gracia.
Estudios demuestran, por ejemplo, que las personas a las que les agrada el humor negro, por lo general resultan ser más inteligentes que el común de los seres humanos, esto quizá a cauda de su imaginación más ágil para detectar como graciosas, situaciones y premisas que a los demás podrían resultarles chocantes e inapropiadas.
En el caso de La teoría del Bit Bang, se utilizan constante y recurrentemente estereotipos muy marcados para explotar sus características exageradas y provocar situaciones que resulten graciosas, esto puede herir susceptibilidades y provocar el rechazo por parte de personas que se sienten ofendidas por este tipo de chistes, por ejemplo, cuando los protagonistas se burlan de Zack el exnovio de Penny por ser muy tonto o cuando ocurren situaciones que ponen en desventaja intelectual a la propia Penny.

Perhaps all that is true, even though from my point of view these characters are more Nerds than Geeks, but of course they are stereotypes whose peculiarities are exaggerated, precisely to generate a funny effect.
Creo que cuando se disfruta de una buena comedia o sátira, es necesario estar dispuesto en cierto modo a reírnos de nosotros mismos. Los chistes que se hacen sobre nuestro propio gentilicio nacional pueden ser muy divertidos, son graciosos porque podemos llegar a comprender mejor nuestras propias singularidades, en cambio cuando se hacen chistes de alguien de una nacionalidad distinta a la de nosotros, se pierde ese factor y se puede incurrir en la burla inapropiada.
El hecho de que en la serie participen personajes de renombre dentro de la cultura Geek, a mi modo de ver las cosas, demuestra que se trata de una obra que se ríe de los Geeks y los Nerds, desde su propio punto de vista y no con el fin de malponerlos ante el resto de la sociedad, sino más bien de popularizar la comprensión de sus actividades y comportamientos, llevándolos al gran público.
También algunas personas dicen que su forma de hacer comedia consiste simplemente en mencionar términos complicados y acompañarlos de risas enlatadas, para así conseguir que las personas se rían sin saber de qué se ríen. En mi opinión, aunque asumo que quizá el uso de risas pregrabadas sea excesivo, la realidad es que la serie hace un gran trabajo simplificando muchos conceptos técnicos y científicos, con el fin de transmitirlos a su público de una forma en que puedan digerirlo correctamente.
Creo que es mucho lo que esta serie puede llegar a enseñarnos si prestamos atención a sus diálogos, que a mi modo de ver son una verdadera maravilla, las bromas que contiene son muy buenas si las comprendemos correctamente, sé que algunas veces se presentan tan rápido que podemos pasarlas por alto y segundos después terminar comprendiendo el chiste. Sin embargo, creo que por lo general, no es necesario ser un genio ni tener una mente demasiado ágil para comprender sus bromas, definitivamente recomiendo esta serie y creo que es un humor muy inteligente.
Yo la veo a través de la TV por cable en Warner Channel. Por cierto, he llegado a pensar que el canal está tratando de conseguir una serie que pueda reemplazarla, pues La teoría del Bit Bang finalizo su producción de nuevos episodios en 2019 luego de 12 temporadas, pero lamentablemente con series como Superstore o Brooklyn Nine-Nine, que a mi parecer son todo lo contrario a humor inteligente, no creo que puedan llenar el vacío que deja, la que en mi opinión es la mejor Sitcom de todos los tiempos.

I think there is a lot that this series can teach us if we pay attention to its dialogues, which in my view are a true wonder, the jokes it contains are very good if we understand them correctly, I know that sometimes they are presented so quickly that we can ignore them and seconds later finish understanding the joke. However, I think generally you don't need to be a genius or have an overly agile mind to understand his jokes, I definitely recommend this series and I think it's a very clever humor.
I watch it on cable TV on Warner Channel.
