Luego de todo el año 2020 sin poder disfrutar de ninguna nueva producción de Marvel Studio debido a las circunstancias que ya todos conocemos de sobra, los fanáticos de la casa de las ideas comenzamos este año 2021 con el Hype al tope, ansiosos por disfrutar de la primera adaptación live action perteneciente a la fase 4 del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel, la cual nos ofreció un formato totalmente novedoso. Por lo tanto, desde mediados de enero hemos estado enganchados con la serie WandaVision, nombre que hace un juego de palabras muy acorde al argumento del programa, pues se traducirse al castellano como “La visión de Wanda”, pero a la vez se relaciona directamente con la televisión como tal, recordemos títulos como Univision o Eurovision. Por cierto, mi opinión es que en España esto se desaprovecho colocándole el nombre de “La Bruja Escarlata y Vision”.
Desde bastante antes de iniciar la publicación de la serie en la plataforma de streaming Disney+, se habían desatado incontables teorías, supuestas filtraciones e incluso revelaciones por parte de los actores y demás involucrados en la producción, eso nos hizo al público especular sobre diferentes cosas que podría acontecer en sus capítulos, entre ellas creo que la más trascendental es la definitiva apertura del multiverso, lo cual se dio por hecho que ocurriría debido a las palabras del propio director de Marvel Studio Kevin Feige, quien aseguro que la serie sería una especie de primera parte de una trilogía del multiverso que se conectaría con la tercera película de Spider-Man y la segunda de Doctor Strange.

Tal como fue anunciado durante su promoción, la serie nos entrega un formato de tipo sitcom (comedia de situación) que resulta completamente diferente a todo lo que habíamos visto antes en el UCM, con eso se homenajeo a seis diferentes series de este tipo (El Show de Dick Van Dyke, Hechizada, La tribu Brady, Lazos Familiares, Malcolm el de en medio y Modern Family), una correspondiente a cada década, comenzando con la de los años 60 y terminando con el decenio del 2010. Sin dudas esta es una propuesta bastante arriesgada por parte de Marvel Studios, saliéndose tanto ellos mismo en su condición de creadores como sacándonos a nosotros los fanáticos, de lo que podríamos considerar la zona de confort dentro del género de superhéroes, que sería la acción y la aventura, para incursionar en un tipo de comedia muy particular y un estilo muy de épocas pasadas, que incluyo entre otras cosas capítulos grabados en blanco y negro, escenarios cerrados con público en vivo y risas enlatadas.
Por otra parte, la forma en que se va desarrollando la historia es igualmente arriesgada, pues se inicia con capítulos en los que simplemente se observa a los protagonistas viviendo en pareja dentro de un pueblo totalmente ambientado en el pasado con diferentes personajes que se desenvuelven tal como lo harían en un capítulo de una serie sitcom clásica. De modo, que los espectadores solo podemos teorizar sobre lo que realmente está ocurriendo, esto puede ser un inconveniente para algunas personas que al ver una producción basada en superhéroes esperan una dinámica más acelerada, pero por otra parte a otras personas nos llena de intrigas y nos hace engancharnos a la narración y obsesionarnos con especulaciones o suposiciones sobre lo que terminara ocurriendo.
De hecho, se demostró gracias a su alta audiencia (algunos expertos aseguran que es la serie más vista de lo que va de año) y el gran revuelo producido en redes sociales, que haber tomado ese camino fue un gran acierto, pues con cada nuevo episodio se generan nuevas expectativas y nos mantiene ilusionados por conocer el desenlace de los acontecimientos. Yo calificaría el producto como una comedia ligera y romántica para toda la familia, con suaves destellos de suspenso, una buena dosis de drama y un toque de acción que se hace presente en el episodio final, por supuesto no pueden faltar las obligatorias piscas de ciencia ficción y fantasía, pero lo que sí que es sumamente escaso es el terror, pues aunque se suele decir que tiene algun grado de terror, creo que no llega a causar miedo sino intriga.

Since well before the publication of the series on the Disney + streaming platform, countless theories, alleged leaks and even revelations by the actors and others involved in the production had been unleashed, that made us the public speculate about different things that could happen in its chapters, among them I believe that the most transcendental is the definitive opening of the multiverse, which was taken for granted due to the words of the Marvel Studio director Kevin Feige himself, who assured that the series would be a kind of first part of a multiverse trilogy that would connect with the third Spider-Man movie and the second Doctor Strange.

As announced during its promotion, the series gives us a sitcom-like format (situation comedy) that is completely different from everything we had seen before in the UCM, with that six different series of this type were honored (El Dick Van Dyke Show, Bewitched, The Brady Tribe, Family Ties, Malcolm in the Middle and Modern Family), one for each decade, beginning with the 1960s and ending with the 2010s. a rather risky proposal by Marvel Studios, leaving both themselves in their capacity as creators and taking us fans out of what we could consider the comfort zone within the superhero genre, which would be action and adventure, for to venture into a very particular type of comedy and a style very from past eras, which included, among other things, chapters recorded in black and white, closed stages with live audiences and canned laughter.
On the other hand, the way in which the story unfolds is equally risky, since it begins with chapters in which the protagonists are simply observed living as a couple within a town totally set in the past with different characters that unfold in such a way. as they would in an episode of a classic sitcom series. So, that viewers can only theorize about what is really happening, this can be an inconvenience for some people who, when watching a production based on superheroes, expect a more accelerated dynamic, but on the other hand, it fills us with intrigue and It makes us get hooked on the narrative and obsess over speculations or assumptions about what will end up happening.
In fact, it was demonstrated thanks to its high audience (some experts say that it is the most watched series so far this year) and the great uproar produced in social networks, that having taken that path was a great success, because with each new episode generates new expectations and keeps us excited to know the outcome of events. I would qualify the product as a light and romantic comedy for the whole family, with soft flashes of suspense, a good dose of drama and a touch of action that is present in the final episode, of course you can not miss the obligatory bits of science fiction and fantasy, but what is extremely rare is terror, because although it is often said that it has some degree of terror, I believe that it does not cause fear but rather intrigue.
En cuanto a mi precepción de la calidad que exhibe WandaVision, puedo decir que me parecido muy interesante, entretenida, divertida, conmovedora y hasta cierto punto adictiva, aunque esto último especialmente si se es fanático de Marvel, pero tengo que admitir que tampoco es una historia muy profunda que presente una trama enrevesada con giros de guion muy sorprendentes y demás, más bien es un relato bastante simple, que se vuelve intrigante por todo el contexto que le proporcionan las películas que ya el público ha podido disfrutar previamente, así como las expectativas con respecto al futuro del UCM y la gran cantidad de teorías que ha producido el fandom con base en los comics relacionados.
Además, las actuaciones de los diferentes personajes fueron realmente de primer nivel, los protagonistas demostraron su gran talento adaptándose excelentemente a diferentes estilos de comedia conforme iban avanzándolos episodios y los personajes secundarios cumplieron perfectamente con sus respectivos propósitos. Vale la pena destacar la actuación de la actriz Kathryn Hahn en su papel de Agnes, quien aporta un carisma y frescura muy importante a la serie, luego la participación de Teyonah Parris en su interpretación de Mónica Rambeau que me parece cumple muy bien las expectativas y ni hablar de Paul Bettany y Elizabeth Olsen en los papeles principales, que lo hacen de maravilla.
Recomiendo plenamente la visualización de WandaVision, especialmente a las personas que son seguidoras de Marvel Studios y del cine de superiores en general, creo que es una muy buena serie que satisface bastante bien los deseos del público Geek. Incluso para personas que no estén al tanto de todo lo ocurrido en el resto de producciones de este universo cinematográfico, puede resultarles una muy buena opción de entretenimiento. Lo que si me gustaría sugerir a quienes se animen a verla, es que pongan de lado toda la avalancha de teorías épicas que proliferaron durante estos últimos meses en internet, pues tener unas expectativas muy altas con respecto a apariciones de personajes extraordinarios y eventos trascendentales, pudiera desvanecer un poco la satisfacción que se puede llegar a experimentar con la serie.

Ya hablando directamente de los hechos puntuales ocurridos en la serie, en primer lugar, está la revelación de que el personaje de Agnes realmente era la villana principal Agatha Harkness, es algo de lo que los fanáticos estábamos completamente seguros que en algún momento ocurriría, solo era cuestión de tiempo que se nos confirmara y por tanto no genero sorpresa. Sin embargo, resulto muy satisfactorio el momento en que ella sometió con su brujería a Wanda en el sótano y la obligo a recordar su pasado, al igual en que fue muy interesante la presentación del flashback en que se nos revela que Agatha perteneció a un aquelarre del cual su propia madre era la bruja líder, pero debido al mal uso que ella hacía de sus poderes fue condenada por estas brujas y al defenderse de ellas adsorbió la vitalidad de cada una y las mato a todas.
Lo que si sorprendió a muchos, fue que ella no estuviera bajo la influencia de un poder oscuro mucho mayor como por ejemplo el de un demonio como Mephisto o Pesadilla, pues muchas teorías apuntaban en ese sentido, además quizá por el gran carisma de la actriz, muchos esperaban que ella no fuese realmente mala y que terminara volviéndose una aliada de Wanda, ya que además en los comics ella ha sido una especie de mentora en el campo de la magia de nuestra querida brujita escarlata. Personalmente creo que no estuvo mal que fuera ella la gran villana de la serie, pues eso permite que se pueda aun continuar incrementando el nivel de los villanos que aparezcan en el futuro, quizás en las próximas películas de Spider-Man y Doctor Strenge, pero también posiblemente en una secuela que podría ser una nueva serie o una película con un nombre que incluya su recién adquirido título de Bruja Escarlata.
Regarding my perception of the quality that WandaVision exhibits, I can say that I found it very interesting, entertaining, funny, moving and to some extent addictive, although the latter especially if you are a fan of Marvel, but I have to admit that it is not a very deep story that presents a convoluted plot with very surprising script twists and others, rather it is a fairly simple story, which becomes intriguing due to the context provided by the films that the public has already been able to enjoy previously, as well as the expectations regarding the future of the MCU and the myriad of theories the fandom has produced based on related comics.
In addition, the performances of the different characters were truly first-rate, the protagonists showed their great talent by adapting excellently to different styles of comedy as the episodes progressed and the secondary characters perfectly fulfilled their respective purposes. It is worth noting the performance of the actress Kathryn Hahn in her role as Agnes, who brings a very important charisma and freshness to the series, then the participation of Teyonah Parris in her portrayal of Monica Rambeau, which I think meets expectations very well and Not to mention Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen in the lead roles, who do it wonderfully.
I fully recommend viewing WandaVision, especially to people who are fans of Marvel Studios and higher-ups in general, I think it's a very good series that satisfies the wishes of the Geek audience quite well. Even for people who are not aware of everything that happened in the rest of the productions of this cinematographic universe, it can be a very good entertainment option. Already speaking directly of the specific events that occurred in the series, in the first place, there is the revelation that the character of Agnes really was the main villain Agatha Harkness, it is something that the fans were completely sure that at some point it would happen, only It was a matter of time before it was confirmed and therefore it did not generate surprise. However, the moment in which she subdued Wanda in the basement with her witchcraft and forced her to remember her past was very satisfying, as well as the presentation of the flashback in which it is revealed that Agatha belonged to a coven was very interesting. of which her own mother was the leading witch, but due to the misuse that she made of her powers she was condemned by these witches and by defending herself from them she absorbed the vitality of each one and killed them all.
What did surprise many, was that she was not under the influence of a much greater dark power such as that of a demon like Mephisto or Nightmare, since many theories pointed in that sense, also perhaps due to the great charisma of the actress , many hoped that she was not really bad and that she would end up becoming an ally of Wanda, since also in the comics she has been a kind of mentor in the field of magic of our beloved scarlet witch. Personally I think it was not bad that she was the great villain of the series, because that allows us to continue increasing the level of villains that appear in the future, perhaps in the next Spider-Man and Doctor Strenge films, but also possibly in a sequel that could be a new series or movie with a name that includes her newly acquired Scarlet Witch title.
De hecho, mi apreciación es que, aunque no se hizo alusión directa a ninguno de estos demonios, es probable que Agatha si tenga algún tipo de relación con ellos al emplear magia oscura y eso se revele en algún otro momento. Por ahora solo está iniciando la fase 4 y queda mucho camino por delante, no debemos pretender que todo ocurra ya y no se guarden cosas importantes para otras producciones, por ejemplo, en la serie de Loki también podría hacerse alguna referencia a Mephisto.
El elemento que ha causado mayor frustración y molestia entre los fanáticos (entre ellos yo mismo), es que luego de haber elegido al actor Evan Peters para encarnar a Pietro Maximoff, el hermano difunto de Wanda, ahora en el último capítulo en lugar de confirmarnos que se trató del Quicksilver del universo mutante de Fox, lo cual habría abierto el tan esperado y anunciado multiverso, por el contrario, nos salieran con que él fue simplemente un habitante más del pueblo llamado Ralph Bohner, eso fue una gran decepción. No obstante, creo que aun podrían revelarnos en otro momento, que si proviene de un universo paralelo traído a esta dimensión por parte de Agatha Harkness.
En realidad, no es solo un deseo de mi parte, sino que existen indicios de que pude ser así y solo se trató de una estrategia de Marvel para despistarnos y poder sorprendernos en otra oportunidad mostrándonos que realmente si fue como lo habíamos imaginado al principio. Entre los indicios a los que me refiero, creo que el más sólido es que el nombre que aparece en la foto encontrada por Monica Rambeau en la habitación del supuesto Pietro, no tiene sentido que sea su nombre real, ya que está dentro de la realidad alterna creada por Wanda sobre Westview, mejor conocida como el Hex, y allí dentro todos los objetos han sufrido modificaciones, demás los otros personajes tienen nombres falsos, entonces lo lógico sería que el nombre que aparezca en sus pertenencia no sea real. Por otro lado, parece no ser posible que Agatha le otorgara su super velocidad, por lo tanto, no podría ser un ciudadano común, sino un velocista que ya poseyera tal super poder.
Mi opinión es que Marvel desde el inicio de esta fase, ha tenido la intención de trolearnos a todos, pues como saben que la fanaticada es sumamente activa y se basa en los comics para formular infinidad de teorías, entonces ellos pretenden usar eso para engañarnos y lograr sorprendernos primero haciéndonos creer que nos equivocamos con todo lo teorizado y en cierto modo hasta decepcionarnos, para luego mostrarnos que algunas teorías sí que eran acertadas, pero revelándonoslas en el momento menos esperado por todos y cuando ya hayamos bajado la guardia debido a las decepciones anteriores. Creo que prueba de ello son todas las pistas falsas y supuestas revelaciones que hicieron los actores y demás involucrados, las cuales no creo que hayan sido casuales, todo está orquestado, me parece imposible que el chistecito de Paul Bettany sobre el cameo de un actor con el que siempre quiso trabajar, sea una idea espontanea suya, creo que fue algo aprobado previamente Kevin Feige y compañía, de igual forma todos los demás engaños.
Olvidando un poco el troleo que nos hicieron y para ir finalizando este interminable artículo, para mí el momento en que Wanda aparece con su nuevo traje de Bruja Escarlata tiene un valor tan grande, que me hace dejar pasar por debajo de la mesa cualquier punto negativo de la serie y me dispara el nivel de satisfacción de nuevo hasta lo más alto. Sencillamente se ve hermosa con ese nuevo look, incluida su extraordinaria cabellera, decir que me parece bella es poco. Aun cuando realmente la batalla mágica entre ella y Harkness su simple y rápida, creo que fue buena e inteligente, debemos tomar en cuenta además que se trata de una miniserie.

My opinion is that Marvel, from the beginning of this phase, has had the intention of trolling us all, because since they know that the fan base is extremely active and relies on comics to formulate countless theories, then they intend to use that to deceive us and to surprise us first by making us believe that we were wrong with everything theorized and in a way even disappointing us, to then show us that some theories were correct, but revealing them at the moment least expected by everyone and when we have already lowered our guard due to the disappointments previous. I think proof of this are all the false leads and alleged revelations made by the actors and others involved, which I do not think were accidental, everything is orchestrated, it seems impossible to me that Paul Bettany's little joke about the cameo of an actor with the one who always wanted to work, be it a spontaneous idea of his, I think it was something previously approved by Kevin Feige and company, in the same way all the other deceptions.
Forgetting the trolling they did to us a little and to finish this endless article, for me the moment when Wanda appears with her new Scarlet Witch costume has such great value, that it makes me let any negative point pass under the table of the series and my satisfaction level shoots up again to the highest. She simply looks beautiful with that new look, including her extraordinary hair, to say that she seems beautiful to me is not enough. Even though really the magical battle between her and Harkness, hers, hers, simple and fast, I think it was good and intelligent, we must also take into account that it is a miniseries.
En cuanto a la batalla del Vision Blanco con el Vision del Hex, tengo una apreciación similar, sí que fue simple y puede parecer tonto que la resolución haya sido un dialogo filosófico entre ambos androides, pero mi criterio es que el Vision Blanco aunque presento una apariencia tétrica, agresiva e intimidante, no es intrínsecamente malo, solo estaba cumpliendo con la programación que le insertaron, pero no es más que el mismo Vision con sus recuerdos bloqueados, entonces hacerlo entrar en un conflicto como ese era la forma más acorde para resolver el enfrentamiento, pues por la fuerza habría sido bastante difícil que la batalla finalizara, tomando en cuenta que ambos poseen poderes exactamente iguales, incluida la intangibilidad.
En el caso de Billy y Tommy, yo estaba seguro que crecerían nuevamente para adecuarse a la batalla final y se volverían adolescente listos para entrar a los Jóvenes Vengadores, pero pensándolo bien, aún falta un poco de tiempo para eso y creo que podría estar ocurriendo en una serie futura de Bruja Escarlata posterior a la próxima película de Doctor Strenge, aunque quizá ocurra en ese largometraje del hechicero supremo, donde por cierto no creo que Wanda vaya a ser la villana como muchos piensan, creo que algo se ha desatado por los acontecimientos de la serie que generara consecuencia y ella deberá unir fuerzas con Strenge o incluso enfrentarlo pero de una forma similar a como se enfrentaron Capitán América y Iron Man, es decir que pelearon pero ninguno era realmente un villano, creo que eso último es lo más probable. Por supuesto que la existencia de los hijos de Wanda debe estar en juego, quizá estén atrapados en una dimensión paralela o al interior del libro maldito, el Darkhold.
Me gustó mucho todo lo relacionado a los niños, estoy seguro que ellos volverán a la vida en algún momento y se harán mayores, convirtiéndose en parte de un grupo de superhéroes jóvenes al lado de Kate Bishop, Cassie Lang, América Chávez, kamala khan, Riri Williams, entre otros, pero para eso debe transcurrir un poco más de tiempo. De Monica Rambeau solo diré que me parecido bastante buena la forma en que introdujeron al personaje, que imagino que tomara como nombre de superhéroe el apodo de su mamá, Photon, dudo mucho que vaya a usar Pulsar o Spectrum, que han sido algunos de sus nombres en los comics. Espero que aparezca en la próxima entrega de Capitana Marvel y verla con mayor dominio de sus poderes.
Para ahora si finalizar, quiero mencionar dos interrogantes que me parece quedaron sin una respuesta concreta tras el final de la serie. Esas preguntas son: ¿a dónde se fue Vision Blanco y si ahora con su memoria liberada estará enamorado de Wanda a la vez que ella de él? Y ¿qué paso con Agnes, si supuestamente Wanda la encerró en el Hex, pero luego esa realidad alterna fue suprimida? Lo de Vision me parece menos interesante, pero el lugar en que fue atrapada Agatha sí que se me hace confuso y a la vez importante, ¿será que ella está junto a los niños y Vision en una dimensión de bolsillo o en el interior del Darkhold? ¿Qué opinas?
