For some reasons unknown to me, i do not like Batman movies, i don't think i have completed a Batman movie before and i certainly do not remember anything about it. Nevertheless, i love the animated version of Gotham by Gaslight

Based o the 1989 book of same name, Gotham by Gaslight is set in Victorian era Gotham, i guess that makes it classy. Gotham is faced with a new enemy, Jack the Ripper, he murders young women on the streets at night, mostly whores, reason is because he wants to rid the street of them.

As usual Batman attempts to track him and stop him but soon discovers that Jack is much more stronger than he is. An interesting character is introduced, Selina Kyle, a showgirl that took it upon herself to defend her fellow women. The Batman ran into her when she was hunting for Jack, the two team up to stop Jack.

If all the Batman movies are like this animated version Gotham by Gaslight, then i would watch them without hesitation. The story is great, it's nothing new but at least it's told in a different way. Though the plot is predictable, it flows into each scene making it engage-able for viewers. It is entertaining with it's own action, The animation and voice actors are great too, in fact it is the film's strongest suit. Though the movie was predictable, it surprised the viewers with an unexpected twist in the end. Gotham by Gaslight is an entertaining tale that is worth the watch.
