Little Georgie only wanted to play in the rain with his little paper boat, a gift of love given to him by elder brother. But down in the dark drains, he meets Pennywise, an ancient shapeshifter, who eats his hands mercilessly and grabs his body, leaving a pool of blood behind.

Pennywise is an ancient shapeshifter, he lives in a scary old house called the well house. The house connects to the sewers and to all the households in Derry town. This creature is said to appear every 27years to kill and take people. Pennywise could be anything, a clown, a zombie, an old woman, a painting on the wall, a woman in the TV show, whatever form he takes is someone's worst fear, he feeds off people's fear. The world of Penny is easy to enter, but difficult to get out.

After Billy lost his little brother, he takes his friends, the self proclaimed loser's club on a quest to find him. Thanks to Ben the history scholar who told them of the horrors the town faces every 27 years, the kids suspects that whoever is behind those horrors, is behind the town's trouble. Every day papers of missing persons keep coming up, the kids begin to see things too, the begin to encounter Penny individually through their fears at home. So they decided not be haunted anymore but to face their fears and save the town. image SOURCE

POSITIVE ELEMENTS

Our fear can mess with our minds and this movie is teaching us that facing them is the only way to overcome them.

Bill and his friends are able to stand together and deal with a bully. They even help those that can't help themselves.

Bill is scared just like the other kids, but he is willing to stop whatever is taking the kids even if his friends disagree in his impeccable speech without a single stammer as he is a stammerer, he said " what happens if another Georgie goes missing, or one of us?are you just gonna pretend it's not happening to everyone else in town"?

Even if the kids don't totally agree with Billy, they stick together to fight the clown, it shows that we are stronger together.

VIOLENT CONTENTS

Little Georgie was playing with his boat in the rain, the boat fell into the drain and into pennywise's hands. As the boy befriends penny and reached out to take his boat, the clown reveals his sharp teeth and eats the boy's arm. As he tries to crawl out, the clown grabs him leaving a pool of blood.

A sadistic Henry punches a boy and carved his name with a knifeon someone's belly.

The kids throw stone on their bullies, severely injuring them.

At the well house the clown attacks the club but Beverly pierces the clown's eye with a rod.

Henry plays with a gun, he later stabs his dad and leaves his corpse in a pool of blood.

Beverly breaks the lid of a WC on her dad's head in a violent struggle.

A kid is thrown in to a well and dies. We see dead people attack, zombies stalk the sewers. Penny covers one of the boy's face with his teeth and leaves bloody marks.

A boy is shot on the head, the boys are thrown against a wall, on the floor. They fight the clown with rods, sticks, chains, bats etc.

SPIRITUAL CONTENTS

Stan is the son of a local rabbi, he is seen reading Jewish torah in the Jewish synagogue.

SEXUAL CONTENTS

The losers club make fun of their sexual organs and prowess.

Beverly is being accused of sleeping around, they call her names like slut, whore etc. They also make reference to a school play where she kissed a boy. Beverly told Bill later that the stories are false. The movie suggests that her father molests her sexually. One of the scenes show him stroke her hand, pushes her down as if to rape her.

Beverly flirts with an old man in the grocery store.

When the club strips of their clothes, they all look at Beverly lustfully. Bill and Ted both have a crush on her.

CRUDE/PROFANE

Words like Trash, slut, shit, fuck is used about 50 times, ass, hell, jesus name is abused twice, motherfucker, bullshit are also used.

ALCOHOL/DRUG

Beverly smokes cigarette. The kids get away with drugs from the grocery store

OTHER NEGATIVE ELEMENTS

Beverly is being bullied in the ladies restroom and they pour her a water filled with dirt.

Henry is seen rubbing a hand filled with saliva on someone's face.

The parents of the kids are supposed to protect them but instead they abuse and molest them.

CONCLUSION

I give IT 7/10. This is one horror movie that I can watch over and over again. Andy have done a great job by giving each character a unique personality that made the movie delicious, like a candy. From the brave but stammering Billy, the loud mouthed Richie, the talkative Andy who has a phobia for dirt, the cool Jewish Stan, the fat history scholar Ben, the black outcast Mike and the pretty accused whore Beverly. Each character is a beautiful work of art that can be enjoyed in a big screen. The movie is set in the 80s and its based on Stephen King's novel and from what I hear from his fans, IT did a wonderful representation of it.

Is it scary, hell yeah! What's even scarier is watching 12 year old kids (I think), fighting off soo much evil with no help of from their parents. The only interaction between these kids and their parents is abuse, sexual molestation, manipulation. Watching these kids deal with these things at home and also deal with the evil eating the town scares me more than the shapeshifter itself. Andy is teaching the viewers a life long lessons using these kids, "fear" and that's remarkable.

Why will I enjoy a movie and still not give my 100% rating? Sadly the crude/profane words used in this movie were used by kids. Parents won't want their kids to watch a movie with language problems but mehn, it is kids that are actually saying these languages. Seeing the kids talk about sex and their prowess, like are you for real? Where is this world heading to?. The violent content, totally the kids also, the stars of this movie should not even be allowed to watch this.

Despite these flaws IT is a great story, and it's just getting started as this just the first chapter. Go watch it!!

Gladly!!! I'm happy coz I have seen this particular movie. Actually of recent... very scary shit. Lolx. Pennywise ate Little Georgie. Eww! Then his brother and others set out to find the bastard while a bully was hunting them.

What I also loved was the tension between the girl and the boys. I'm glad she kissed Lucas/Henry is it? She's usually molested by the father so its good to see her break free from that.

The movie is definitely having a sequel and I'll watch IT again!

Welldone @nmalove for delivering on this as usual...
