Stomps meet beats in an all white girl's sorority group.

Jamilah is a black American that has it all, both parents graduated from Harvard Law School and she hopes to follow their footsteps after College. She is the president of the legendary Black sorority, Theta Chi Phi which her mum was also a member, and she helps them win regional competitions, she works for the college dean as a student liaison and finally she has boyfriend Dane, that treats her like a queen, a white boyfriend. Unlike a typical black girl, Jamilah has never witnessed any wrong in her life as she is born into excellence. Things went wrong when her parents refused to write her recommendation letters into Harvard Law, apparently an alumnus (both her parents are) is needed to sign these before she can be accepted. She decided to enlist the help of her boss, Dean Berman who is also an alumnus. He agreed to help her only if she helps him clean a mess the Sigma Beta Beta (SBB) an all white girls parti freak sorority group created. One of the SBB's was recorded having sex in public, so the Dean told Jamilah to help the SBB enter into the Step Competition by teaching them how to step as he believes it will help save their reputation and save them from being unchartered. image.png source

Stepping is a Black Greek culture. It's an art and expression within the Black Greek life, and teaching the whites to step will be a slap on a face to the Theta black community and their ancestors

This movie is an exploration into Racial differences and stigmatization. It shares the same theme as pitch perfect and stomp the yard but didn't meet up to their standards. The movie however share some moments of humour with the outstanding performances of it's casts. Echikunwoke dominates the screen with her Jamilah character, she walks the audience through how young people are faced with the world's racial problems and how they solve it. Director Charles explains this plot in simple terms. It's sad that people are still racists in 2018, this movie preaches against it, it also teaches about discovering yourself before taking major steps in life. I agree with Jamilah when she says Racists are not allowed to own anything.
