Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post súper chévere en el cual les hablaré sobre un anime que me ha tenido sumamente emocionada en estas últimas semanas, y ese es Tokyo Revengers. Muchos seguramente habrán visto una que otra imagen de Mikey, que no es el protagonista pero es el personaje más conocido de la serie, pero nada más lejos de la realidad. Un anime que mezcla pandillas con viajes en el tiempo suena a una locura, pero hoy les hablaré del este anime que está agarrando una rápida popularidad, comencemos!
Hello again! Today I come with a super cool post in which I will tell you about an anime that has had me very excited in recent weeks, and that is Tokyo Revengers. Many of you have probably seen a picture or two of Mikey, who is not the main character but is the best known character of the series, but nothing could be further from the truth. An anime that mixes gangs with time travel sounds crazy, but today I will tell you about this anime that is rapidly gaining popularity, let's go!

Este manga distribuido por Kodansha desde el año 2017 es creado por el mangaka Ken Wakui, que acostumbrado a ser demografía seinen se arriesgó con este shonen, ya que luego de muchos fracasos en ventas esta podría ser su salvación. Gracias a la casa animadora Liden Films se pudo producir la animación adaptada, sin embargo tenía todas las de perder. La casa animadora también había pasado por muchísimos fracasos, uno de los más destacados fue Berserk y no se sabía si podía salir de su abismo, sin embargo no contaron que este anime sería prácticamente el más exitoso de la temporada y del año 2021, superando en ventas a Jujutsu Kaisen en su año anterior. Su género es de acción, drama y ciencia ficción, con uno que otro toque de romance y comedia. Actualmente el anime cuenta con 24 episodios en total y 24 volúmenes en el manga, teniendo un total de 221 capítulos hasta ahora, estando en su arco final.

Its genre is action, drama and science fiction, with the occasional touch of romance and comedy. Trama | Plot
La trama es sencilla y compleja a la vez, todo gira entorno a Takemichi Hanagaki, un joven de 26 años con una vida aburrida y se entera que su amor de la secundaria es asesinada junto con su hermano menor por alguien que provocó un accidente automovilístico. Él llega a ser empujado a unas vías del tren, pero en vez de morir, es trasladado al pasado específicamente 12 años, donde vive de nuevo sus experiencias de la secundaria y al encontrarse con Naoto, el hermano de Hinata, le advierte lo que sucederá en el futuro y luego al estrechar su mano es trasladado al presente. Al despertar se encuentra con un Naoto vivo y convertido en policía, que al ver que Takemichi puede viajar por el tiempo hacen un plan para salvar a Hinata de ser asesinada por una pandilla peligrosa llamada Tokyo Manji (ToMan), liderada por Manjiro Sano.
The plot is simple and complex at the same time, everything revolves around Takemichi Hanagaki, a young man of 26 years with a boring life and learns that his high school sweetheart is killed along with his younger brother by someone who caused a car accident. He gets to be pushed onto some train tracks, but instead of dying, he is transported to the past specifically 12 years, where he relives his high school experiences and upon meeting Naoto, Hinata's brother, warns him what will happen in the future and then upon shaking his hand he is transported to the present. When he wakes up he finds Naoto alive and turned into a policeman, who, seeing that Takemichi can travel through time, makes a plan to save Hinata from being killed by a dangerous gang called Tokyo Manji (ToMan), led by Manjiro Sano.
Ahí Naoto le pide a Takemichi que investigue en el pasado como esa pandilla se volvió malvada, a lo que este acepta, vuelven a estrechar sus manos y Takemichi vuelve al pasado. Ahí, luego de una pelea clandestina organizada por su bully conoce a Draken, vice-comandante de la ToMan, y a Manjiro Sano, conocido como el invencible Mikey y comandante de la pandilla. A partir de ahí Takemichi se da cuenta que los miembros de la pandilla no son tan malvados como creía y mediante viajes en el tiempo, peleas y hasta asesinatos, Takemichi planea descubrir junto con Naoto qué fue lo que desencadenó la maldad de Mikey y la pandilla, haciendo que los futuros cambien una y otra vez para salvar a Hina y a los demás de una muerte segura.
There Naoto asks Takemichi to investigate in the past how that gang became evil, to which he agrees, they shake hands again and Takemichi returns to the past. There, after a clandestine fight organized by his bully, he meets Draken, vice-commander of the ToMan, and Manjiro Sano, known as the invincible Mikey and commander of the gang. From there Takemichi realizes that the gang members are not as evil as he thought and through time travel, fights and even murder, Takemichi plans to discover together with Naoto what triggered Mikey and the gang's evil, making the futures change again and again to save Hina and the others from a certain death.
Animación | Animation
La animación esta encargada de Liden Films, una productora con una fama que deja mucho que desear pero que con este anime vieron una luz al final del túnel. Tokyo Rvengers no cuenta con una animación del nivel de Kimetsu no Yaiba o Jujutsu Kaisen, ya que los frames son muy deficientes y a veces los movimientos se ven estáticos, incluso algunos diseños se ven incómodos a la vista cuando se pausa un episodio, sin embargo, no todo está perdido. Estas deficiencias ocurren en momentos que no son captados tan fácilmente,además de que no ocurren tan seguido y a veces se lucen, como el las coreografías de las peleas, las ambientaciones e incluso en momentos de relleno. La paleta de colores varía según lo que esté sucediendo, los momentos felices se denotan con colores cálidos y los tristes con colores fríos de pendiendo de donde estén ocurriendo los sucesos. Espero que la casa productora aproveche el éxito que ha tenido este anime para ponerle mucho más presupuesto a la segunda temporada donde la historia tendrá un camino mucho más emocionante.
The animation is in charge of Liden Films, a production company with a reputation that leaves much to be desired, but with this anime they saw a light at the end of the tunnel. Tokyo Rvengers does not have an animation of the level of Kimetsu no Yaiba or Jujutsu Kaisen, since the frames are very deficient and sometimes the movements look static, even some designs look uncomfortable to the eye when an episode is paused, however, all is not lost. These deficiencies occur in moments that are not so easily captured, besides that they do not occur so often and sometimes they shine, as in the choreography of the fights, the settings and even in moments of filler. The color palette varies depending on what is happening, happy moments are denoted with warm colors and sad ones with cold colors depending on where the events are happening. I hope that the production house takes advantage of the success of this anime to put much more budget to the second season where the story will have a much more exciting way.
Opening & Ending
El openning de esta temporada está a cargo de Official Hige Dandism con la canción "Cry Baby", la cual me parece sumamente excepcional y con una animación muy buena que resume todo lo que sucede sin dar spoilers, la letra de esta canción resume muy bien lo que sucede en el anime que es pelea, tristeza y venganza. Los endings son otras dos obras, el primero (de los episodios 1 al 12) se llama Koko de Iki o shite de la artista Eill que es como un blues/pop bastante bueno, y el segundo ending (del episodio 13 hasta el último de la temporada) es Tokyo Wonder por la banda Nakimushi, la cual es un rock alternativo suave que anima los tensos episodios.
The opening of this season is in charge of Official Hige Dandism with the song "Cry Baby", which I find extremely exceptional and with a very good animation that summarizes everything that happens without giving spoilers, the lyrics of this song summarizes very well what happens in the anime that is fighting, sadness and revenge. The endings are two other works, the first one (from episodes 1 to 12) is called Koko de Iki wo shite by the artist Eill which is like a pretty good blues/pop, and the second ending (from episode 13 to the last of the season) is Tokyo Wonder by the band Nakimushi, which is a soft alternative rock that animates the tense episodes.
Conclusion
Este anime es muy prometedor si sigue el camino que toma el manga. La historia parece simple pero hay que prestar mucha atención a los detalles que presenta el mangaka en cada línea temporal que se presenta y es algo complicado. El villano que se ve en el anime es sumamente increíble y trunca los intentos del protagonista de manera increíble (y algo frustrante a veces). Realmente le veo un potencial para ser un gran shonen si la historia sigue avanzando como está, tiene un éxito bien merecido y alegre para el mangaka que esperaba otro fracaso. Es un anime que se está posicionando entre mis favoritos y espero que no me decepcione, ya que como va está muy bien y estructurado, estoy emocionada por ver las animaciones de las siguientes temporadas y como va a irse desarrollando la trama en su arco final de manga que está sumamente tenso. Lo recomiendo mucho!
This anime is very promising if it follows the path the manga takes. The story seems simple but you have to pay close attention to the details presented by the mangaka in each timeline presented and it is somewhat complicated. The villain seen in the anime is extremely unbelievable and truncates the protagonist's attempts in incredible (and somewhat frustrating at times) ways. I really see a potential for it to be a great shonen if the story continues to progress as it is, it has a well-deserved and joyful success for the mangaka who expected another failure. It is an anime that is positioning itself among my favorites and I hope it does not disappoint me, as it is very well structured, I am excited to see the animations of the following seasons and how the plot will develop in the final arc of the manga, which is extremely tense. I highly recommend it!
