Good enough, despite "Harry Potter"-like clichés.
A desperate orphan girl who "don't care whether to live or die" have nothing to live for, so she sold herself to slavery following advice: "If you're so eager to throw your life away, perhaps you should consider giving it to someone who will make better use of it than you can.".
She is bought on auction for 5 million GBP by a mage who makes her his apprentice (for her extraordinary potential in magic) so she undergoes magical training with immersion to hidden world of magical creatures. She established close relationships with not very human "bonehead" mage who have no face hence he expresses no facial emotions and not easily understood. It is basically "isekai" genre where protagonist explores entirely new world (albeit loosely connected to a village not too far away from London) while having many adventures. Good dynamic story with plenty of impressive artwork and immersion. Many mysterious magical creatures. However, it is slightly disappointing that viewers learn so little about the "bonehead" master... The story suffers from repeating pattern of protagonist being hurt then spending a while in recovery.
Good impression was somewhat spoiled by needlessly cruel, dark, tragic and depressing last few episodes, despite weak happy ending.
