Imagine a cheap imitation of Death Note ... from creators of Death Note (Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata). Disappointing story, despite idea with potential to explore justice, philosophy, morality, meaning of life (and death), love and friendship.
God gave supernatural weapons and angel assistants to several people who must fight each other to death, so that last man standing could receive an ultimate prize and the world will not be the same after game is concluded. All players were selected among those who killed themselves but were saved at the last moment so they could play. And now people who lost will to live hang around a bit longer because of the game... Just like in Death Note, supernatural weapons are well defined, with multiple rules attached, and players' success depends on understanding the rules and being able work around limitations.
But somehow almost everything in the show is bad -- characters, story, storytelling, various cliches, dialogues, etc. Even animation and artwork. Even worse, show digress to deliver bio-terror propaganda, face masks and "special virus" made by evil scientist...
