Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome π€
How will you feel when something you have always believed existed, something that has brought you comfort, all of a sudden one day they tell you it's just a story; there's nothing like that?

Movie summary Over the moon is an animated musical movie that was released in 2020. The movie is about a 6-year-old little girl called Fei Fei whose mom always tells her a legendary story about the moon goddess Chang'e, who took an immortality potion, and this made her become a goddess, and so she had to ascend to the moon without her one true lover, Houyi, and while on the moon, she is patiently waiting for him there.

So whenever it's the annual Moon Festival, Fei Fei and her parents would make mooncakes for the community. It was usually a fun and happy time for her. However, tragedy befell Fei Fei when her beloved mom fell sick and passed away. A few years later she found out that her dad was dating Mrs. Zhong and they were engaged, and Fei Fei wasn't happy about the whole situation.

Then one time they were having their annual moon festival celebration when the topic of the moon goddess Chang'e came up. Whether she was real or not, Fei Fei turned to her father to confirm that she was real, but he was hesitant. Heartbroken Fei Fei left their presence and decided to build a rocket that would take her to the Moon to prove to everyone that Chang'e is real.
My review The movie is so captivating. I love how colorful Chang'e's world is; this is mostly what kids love, a display of different bright colors.
I totally understand why Fei Fei was angry and didn't want to accept Mrs. Zhong as her stepmom; it's naturally because of her loyalty and love for her mom. Most times it's hard to let go of someone or something we love dearly. She's also trying to protect her mom's memories because she might feel that once her dad gets married, he will gradually start forgetting her mom. Another reason might be adjusting to a new family structure and also having to share her dad's love with her stepmom and brother.

I love how she later accepted her stepbrother after seeing how he genuinely loved her. The music too is nice.
My rating I would rate it 7/10 because of the different lessons in it for kids, like the importance of family. It's a movie that can be enjoyed with family.
