ย I'm a huge fan of Dakota Fanning's work, and it was largely because of her that I chose to watch it just two weeks after its premiere. This is definitely one of those series that you can't stop watching until you reach the last episode.
ยฟQuiรฉn lo raptรณ? ยฟpor quรฉ lo hizo? ยฟquerรญan dinero o usarรญan al infante por trรกfico de รณrganos, o peor aรบn, trรกfico de personas?
ย The series tells the story of Marissa, a high-society mother whose six-year-old son is kidnapped. Who abducted him? Why? Did they want money, or would they use the child for organ trafficking, or worse, human trafficking?
ย ยฟEs un complot? ยฟfue alguien conocido? ยฟquiรฉn pudo haber hecho algo asรญ de espeluznante?
ย Is this a conspiracy? Was it someone I knew? Who could have done something so horrifying? If I were a first-time mother, I would, of course, be overcome with despair and wouldn't know how to control my emotions until I saw my son again.
ย Yes, that's how interesting the plot of this story is. A series that, as it progresses through its eight episodes of almost an hour each, generates more and more questions, and you share Marissa's desperation to know if the boy is safe and if he will be found unharmed.
ย The series stars a wonderful and high-potential cast, including Sarah Snook, known for her controversial role as Shiv Roy in the super-hit series Succession, and Jake Lacy, best known for his comedy roles in series such as The Office and The White Lotus.
ย They are also accompanied by a great cast, including Michael Peรฑa and Sophia Lillis, both renowned actors for Fury and It, respectively.
ย Of course, the incredible Dakota Fanning couldn't be missing, and she certainly didn't disappoint in her role. I love this actress, and even though she hasn't made as many great films as an adult and has leaned more towards horror thrillers, she still delivers a magnificent performance, worthy of the experience she began at such a young age.
ย Another aspect I liked about this series is that it's one of those where you really have no idea what might happen; you can't draw any conclusions or know if the kidnapped child is okay or not.
ย So the series keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. I loved it from beginning to end and I wasn't expecting such a surprising ending.
ย In fact, it took me a while to write this post because there are hardly any images of the series on the film websites I usually use, so I had to resort to taking screenshots to share some scenes from the first episode. I give it a well-deserved 5 stars, and I highly recommend it.
