Greetings participants of the @theanimerealm Community. We are already in the middle of the week and I think it's an excellent day to talk about what we like the most, anime/manga. Today I want to give you my opinion about YashaHime, a sequel to Inuyasha, anime that marked my childhood and adolescence, to which I have immense appreciation.

  This anime was released in 2020 and ended in 2021. Each season is made up of 24 episodes in total. And for the moment I only watched the first part because I'm a big fan of Inuyasha, and of course, because of the excitement, when I found out that a Spin-Off of that series was coming out, I had to give it a chance.

  Since I wanted to know more than anything what happened next with my favorite characters, were they happy? did Miroku have many children? was Kagome able to “close the deal” (😏) with Inuyasha?, what happened with Kohaku?, did she manage to forgive herself and be happy? and Rin with Sesshoumaru? So many questions that I wanted to have answers to.

  As you can see, I had high expectations for this sequel and I was very disappointed when they decided to give Sesshoumaru's daughters the lead role instead of Moroha, who is the daughter of our protagonist in the previous series.

  Although I liked the first part, mostly because it brought back good memories of that iconic first series, the truth is that I didn't find the plot of this sequel funny, that is to say, to create a dramatic story where our protagonists of Inuyasha are placed as bad parents, who are forced at a certain point to abandon their daughters to raise them alone, literally as wild animals. I mean, no! What is that? Why?

  In Inuyasha they invested so much time in gathering the pearl of Shikon and in turn definitively defeating Naraku, achieving the happy ending they all deserved, ending with which they left many fans (me included) super satisfied, where all of us could give it the spectacular and memorable closure so that they come to tell us in YashaHime that both Inuyasha, Kagome, Rin and Sesshoumaru were forced to abandon their daughters?

  I mean, from the beginning, I didn't buy it, and that story with the new pearls, I don't remember how many there were now, seven I think, I don't remember. I mean, where did they come from, and who created them, these questions, and many more came to my mind in the first chapters. I watched only the complete season 1, I was not satisfied, but intrigued because it ended at a climax point where it was not known what was going to happen.

  And the second season I only saw the first chapter, and although it didn't catch me, I plan to finish watching it because I'm a big fan of Inuyasha but if I have to choose between the two stories, I'll go with the original: the first one.

  This season with the half-demon girls, I think fell short compared to their origin story. What I can't get over is Moroha being a supporting character, as well as giving my lifelong favorite characters a supporting spot with sporadic appearances in memories of the girls.

  I don't know Rick, I think this series is missing something else and I don't know what it will be. For me, it's a spark, something unique that makes me love it like I loved Inuyasha back in the day and to this day, but it doesn't end up appearing in that detail in the story, nor in the characters that make me change my mind.
