Saw a new Sci-fi Thriller Movie "Companion" directed by Drew Hancock, starring Sophie Thatcher. The movie story revolves around the death of a rich man.
Story with Plot Twists
If you have seen the trailer you will get some idea, but I didn't watch the trailer and went straight to the movie. Jack Quaid, played by Josh, is acting strangely towards Iris at the beginning of the movie. He seemed to be a hard-hearted man. But after a while I realize that actually Iris is a robot, which was originally specially designed only to be a romantic partner.
But this is no ordinary robot movie. This is the story of a robot becoming self-aware. Meaning, the robot slowly realizes that he has no freedom here and is just part of someone else's plan. Meaning, the robot can slowly realize itself.
Acting & Direction
Sophie Thatcher acted very well in the movie. Jack Quaid also gave a very good performance, although his character was that of a devoted lover. Who always suffers from depression.
What Makes This Movie Special?
- Thrill: Some things are so engaging that you can't take your eyes off to agree.
- Suspense: The various realities of technology slowly unfold in front of us, which is really more exciting.

This movie is not just a robot thriller movie. Rather, it is a story of struggle for personal freedom. It's rare to see such a good movie this year. So, if one wants to enjoy a real sci-fi thriller like me, then don't miss "Companion".
