A group of spirits restlessly squabble in an abandoned country home. Ghosts ~IMDB
I recently found Ghosts a British - very important, that part - series about Ghosts living in a house and one of the new residents being the only one that can communicate with them.

A young couple out on their luck , apartment hunting set up the start by then inheriting a mansion in the village. Albeit rundown and close to irreparable they take it and decide to renovate as they can just to have a place to stay.
Unbeknownst to them the mansion already has many occupants. From different eras with the oldest being "Robin" (I may be wrong) but he is the stone age guy who also happens to be secretly the most intelligent and definitely the funniest.
The cast each play their stereotype perfectly from the uptight Lady of the House to the delusional poet from victorian times. Even the chipper overly agreeable Kitty - also victorian, but adopted black child of a rich family , even she does not get on my nerves.
I don't like chipper all that much so that is saying a lot. It is probably because behind that chipper is the mask of utter denial.
I watch Ghosts on Fmovies, but you can probably watch it on BBC , and I think the Muricans have made a bad remake again so beware.
It is 26min per episode and 6 episodes per season which make it perfect for a evening binge or quick watch before you continue your suffering.
All in all Ghosts is just a good breakaway from the huge production and no story line series that by judging the covers in the series lists these days seems to be the norm.
