You know how sometimes you watch something and then think the whole way through that it is extremely familiar.
Plebs: Soldiers of Rome
Well that is how it was when I watched Plebs the Movie... I turns out that I have started watching the serious a long time ago.
I am not sure why I stopped, and it is very possibly I just forgot. I don't think there is a single show that is not just forgettable, you know like people.
Sure they come around once in a bluemoon and you go "Ah, what ever happened to my Father." Then you forget again shortly after.
Plebs the Movie, was a fun break, and perusing Fmovies it was the only cover that looked like it might just have some substance.
Maybe substance is a strong word, but the movie is definitely a good 'ol ah no here we go shit is gonna hit the fan, buckle up your horse and ride; kinda movie.
It is fun in the sense that although they are in Ancient Greece for all intent and purpose. The dialogue is as common as your chatter with your grocery store friendemy.
I think they may have pushed the action a bit more, but really the typical group of guys adventure and mishaps make up for a lack of over the top madness.
Not that there were no over the top moments. I am sure may will appreciate the women only village that two of the rejects find themselves in.
All in all it is not as stupid as Dumb and Dumber, has the class of the 3 Stooges and a touch of The Inbetweeners filth.
I think that it is good I found the movie as it seems a great intro to the series which hopefully I remember to watch also.
