One night, she begins to receive extraterrestrial visitors in her house.

Isolated from the population, she must face being abducted with her resources.

The film has received a great response on streaming and is available to watch on Disney+ and Star+.

One of its great strengths, thanks to director, screenwriter and actress Kaitlyn Dever, is that, remarkably, the film is silent.

That's right, there is no dialogue for 90 minutes.

There are real risks involved in doing this kind of work, more so with the house as a location and the surrounding forest but they handle it well.

From the beginning you'll see different types of aliens and their abilities.

They are quite well done in CGI, and the music by Joseph Trapanese also helps a lot, as does the playing with the silences...

The scares are edgy and sparse, but they blend together well and leave a fluid narrative.

Influenced by Signals, Body Snatchers and Nope, this is a breath of fresh air in the genre.

It has its flaws, some may consider its resolution to be so.

Some of us see a clear ending that can be greatly improved, while others see an unfathomable ending.

Yes, it loses power towards the end, but in my opinion it is still a better proposition than others of this decade.
