On this occasion I am here to share with you one of my favorite films: The color of pomegranates (1969), by Serguei Parajanov.

This film is inspired by the life of the Armenian poet and troubadour Sayat Nova, who lived in the 18th century, but it is not a biopic, it is an attempt to recreate the creative thought, the symbolic imaginary of an artist, all this narrated with surreal aesthetics. to invite the unconscious of those who look to delve into the infinite kaleidoscope of objects that dialogue and narrate life.

Poetry, painting and cinema gathered in colorful dioramas that speak of spirituality and eroticism, that is why, I believe, that the fixed camera is necessary, since it delimits the reality of those who are dreaming and living -tableaux vivants, the very moviegoers would say-. The life of an artist, then.

By the way, this film was censored in its time and rescued until this century, but only in 2014 was it presented in the classics section of the Cannes Film Festival, after three years of restoration work to deliver a complete piece.
