The Story of Constantine Part 2

After Constantine's time shattering action at the end of the previous episode, history is left in shambles, and it's time for he and Charlie to deal with the consequences.

Either because of the role they played in the event or due to the fact that they were in the jumpship in the temporal zone at the point in time where Constantine changed everything, both Zari and Charlie have their memories of the true timeline intact (actually the waverider was also in the temporal zone, but it's Legends of Tomorrow! Who cares about the details, right?). However, they have been affected by the alterations. Charlie, having never met John who never joined the Legends, has her shapeshifting powers back... And Zari, for some reason, is a cat. Charlie is ecstatic, but as she sends Zari-cat back to the Waverider and drops back out of the temporal zone, she begins to see the crazy changes that have occured. Now its up to her to figure out a way to salvage everything.

First, she recovers Zari from the Waverider where she learns Sara is dead. Then she finds Constantine locked up in the Time Bureau's prisons for 'mental instability after possible temporal crimes'. However, Constantine here is a melding of the Constantine from both the original timeline and the altered one, and so he remembers both, something which is driving him insane.

Being the only ones who know that history has been changed, Charlie, Constantine and Zari go to work at setting things right. However, while Zari wants them to undo what John did and set everything exactly how it was, Charlie and John are wrought to lose what the new timeline has given them. But as she's as a cat (actually John had changed her back, but then reversed his spell so she couldn't interfere) they begin to visit all the places their interference had changed to 'set things right'. But this only serves to create evwn more wrecked timelines in which either the legends are dead or have had their ideology changed so much they are no longer the Legends.

At last, John realises that Desmond must remain with him and consequently be sent to Hell, Charlie accepts that she has to be without her abilities for the meantime for the sake of history, and the three work out a plan to keep Desmond without re-wrecking the timeline. Everything changes back and John finally opens up to Sara about Desmond and what he did.

And when we see 'Desmond' with Mr Hayewood talking about controlling the magical creatures, we know at last the Big Bad for the season... The Demon Navox.

Legends of Tomorrow returns after the Winter break. What do you think about the prospects for the second half ovthe season?
