Hey, guys! Super awesome episode of The Flash this week! It seems The Flash truly is back –this episode was as exciting and funny as episodes that made us love the series in Season 1. There were so many great moments, coupled with a really exciting story that I’m sure I won’t be able to cover them all. Well, here goes! First, Barry is as excited to be back as we are. I mean, who can blame him?? After spending an eternity (or maybe just 6 months) in the Speed force, it must feel like getting out of jail after a lifetime, and still having the energy to enjoy life. Who gets that? Unfortunately, though, this doesn’t sit so well with Iris, and Barry is so distracted by his newfound freedom he doesn’t notice her forced reactions. ‘You whoosh, you whooze’?! Come on, Barry. To get them back in sync, Iris takes them to couple’s therapy, and Dr Sharon Thinkle is just great at getting funny reactions out of Barry and Iris. It’s such fun watching them talk to someone not in the know about their secret lives and try to find excuses for everything at the same time. At least it works. Barry realizes that the underlying cause of Iris’ state is not just his recent exploits in not listening to her or consulting her, but his abrupt leaving all those months ago, and after smoothing it out, we get our ‘Barry-and-Iris-golden-standard’ back.

Dr Thinkle, however is not the only one who gives relationship advice in this episode. Caitlin also dashes out a lot, being the one who suggests therapy to Iris in the first place, and giving Cisco some much needed feminine insight on Gypsy. The dude obviously had no idea how dead he was. Detective West, on the other hand, was just confused by everyone’s reactions, and I don’t blame the guy. I actually thought the writers might bring in a little something about him and Cecile, but they either think muddling up their relationship again won’t do the show much good, or that there were enough sub-plots going on as it were. Either way, giving how well the episode turned out, they were right. Taking down the meta-of-the-week, Kilgore wouldn’t have been difficult but for Cisco’s teching-up of Barry’s new suit. It’s sad though, that the team seems to think the best way forward is to remove all the tech from it –I really enjoyed some of those moments! Still, I just can’t believe he put in a self-destruct protocol. Like, what? Meanwhile, new team dynamics. Yeah, Barry... Iris is charge now. And the Arrow news on Oliver Queen! Good going, guys!
