It's Christmas Time once again in Central City and eveyone is in a festive mood.

Barry is so peaceful he no longer feels the need to rush through his daily activities, the members of Team Flash are getting used to Killer Frost as a part of the team except Caitlin herself who doesn't know how to adjust to the new dynamics. Even DeVoe, who coincindentally was born on Christmas day, is in a great mood --it's time to complete the first phase of his plan.

Soon, it's revealed what this plan entails --kidnapping Barry and placing him in a speedster-proof cage somewhere in his lair. Unfortunately, Amunet Black chooses this exact same moment to abduct Caitlin, and for the first time, she doesn't need Frost's killer instinct but Caitlin's medical expertise to save a new bus-meta she has captured, a psychic called Doninic. The rest of Team Flash is frantic. Cisco tries vibing Barry's location, but instead is hit with a killer headache that inhibits his abilities. The STAR Labs satellites cannot handle both searches at once, and Iris doesn't know who to choose. She decides not to decide and have the satellites try locating both Barry's speed and Frost's cold signatures.
This doesn't go well. The satellites processors begin to overheat and neither are found. Meanwhile, Caitlin is forced to perform minor head surgery on Dominic without complete or sanitary equipment, and DeVoe informs Barry he is only trying to teach him some lessons, today's being that it's okay to lose once in a while.

At last, Caitlin is able to escape Amunet with Dominic, and with some help from Cisco and Ralph who find her once Iris finally makes a choice. Barry learns a new ability and vibrates so fast he becomes invisible, and is able to escape DeVoe. They fight, and DeVoe is electrocuted by his own chair. He falls into the river and presumably drowns. Everyone is once again festive, and they all head to the annual West family Christmas dinner. Dominic is also invited --he knows tgem all, anyway.
But it's not the end.
Halfway through the dinner, the security alarms on Barry's and Iris' loft go off and Barry flashes over to check it out. Once inside, he receives a call. It's Dominic, but this is not the same meta Caitlin saved. DeVoe has completed his plan: to put himself in the psychic's mind. Dominic is now really only DeVoe in a new body. And DeVoe's old body did not drown... it's lying there in Barry's kitchen, stabbed by one of Barry's knives. The police is already at the door. Barry has a split second to decide --run or face everything. He decides not to run, and the CCPD, led by Captain Singh, enters the house and arrests him on charges of murder.
What a way to end the fall half-season! How will Barry ever get out of this one? And what is the 'The Enlightenment', DeVoe's ultimate plan? Guess we'll just have to wait till the Spring to find out!
