Esta película la tenía por ver ya hace mucho tiempo. Hace poco se me dio un tiempo, y por fin pude apreciar esta excelente cinta mexicana. Fue estrenada en el 2000, siendo director el galardonado Alejandro González Iñárritu.
I had wanted to see this film for a long time. Recently I was given some time, and finally I was able to appreciate this excellent Mexican film. It was released in 2000, with award-winning director Alejandro González Iñárritu.
Amores Perros cuenta tres historias diferentes. La de Octavio, viéndose envuelto en el mundo de las peleas de perros, a la vez que tiene un interés amoroso por su cuñada Susana. La de Daniel y Valeria, una pareja, que debido a un accidente vehicular, verán como sus planes idílicos que tenían juntos, acaba siendo trastocado. Finalmente, la historia de el Chivo, un expreso y guerrillero, que vive de mercenario, teniendo una afinidad a cuidar perros callejeros.
Amores Perros tells three different stories. The story of Octavio, who gets involved in the world of dogfighting and at the same time has a love interest in his sister-in-law Susana. The story of Daniel and Valeria, a couple who, due to a car accident, will see how their idyllic plans they had together, end up being disrupted. Finally, the story of El Chivo, an expressman and guerrilla fighter, who lives as a mercenary, having an affinity for taking care of stray dogs.
La trama muestra historias urbanas con personajes que muestran facetas muy humanas, como lo es el amor, el deseo, la envidia, el anhelo, el odio, etc. Hay muchas ideas esparcidas en todo lo que dura la película. He de mencionar que hay variadas escenas chocantes pero que encajan en mostrar ese lado duro y descontrolado de la vida. Me recuerda hasta cierto punto a Pulp Fiction en cómo se narra esta película, pues las historias están interconectadas.
The plot shows urban stories with characters that show very human facets, such as love, desire, envy, longing, hatred, etc. There are many ideas scattered throughout the film. I have to mention that there are several shocking scenes but they fit in showing that hard and uncontrolled side of life. It reminds me to some extent of Pulp Fiction in how this film is told, as the stories are interconnected.
Si bien la película muestra los años y el presupuesto con el que se produjo. Tanto la trama como la edición tienen una calidad que se mantiene. Interesante y entretenida. En otros aspectos técnicos, como el de la música, hacen un papel más que aceptable.
While the film shows the years and the budget it was produced on. Both the plot and the editing have a quality that holds up. Interesting and entertaining. In other technical aspects, such as music, they make a more than acceptable role.
Esta película es totalmente recomendable, especialmente si te gustan las historias urbanas, mostrando a los humanos ser humanos. Hace poco salió una edición remasterizada por los 20 años de la cinta, es una posibilidad para verla con mayor calidad.
This film is totally recommendable, especially if you like urban stories, showing humans being humans. Recently came out a remastered edition for the 20 years of the film, it is a possibility to see it with higher quality.
